During that period, something came into my mind, then not sure my former soldier, a deserter, used to loiter ard in d capital, kana or not? God bless.
Agree by now a terrorists could have kill many more innocent pple's on the street. Rather then for the soldiers to kill more.
It's all about political concern that the red wanted badly to voice out equally opportunties, while d yellow is much fearing for their life and do not want to compromise feraing death is looking at their door step.
This lead to the yellow to push their posted boy turn into a warring warlord, so is his former poor deputy Premier who turn from rag to super rich, so is those stories for other few politicans still hanging around Bangkok

BANGKOK : Thailand's govt on Sat displayed to foreign diplomats a huge cache of weapons it said had been confiscated from anti-govt protesters, to quash criticism of a deadly crackdown.
"Red Shirts" leaders, who mounted two mths of rallies in Bangkok that saw clashes and blasts that left 86 dead and 1,900 injured movement.
After Wed final offensive which forced thousands of Reds to disperse and their leaders to surrender, it had found a haul of assault rifles, ammunition, grenades and crude homemade bombs.
"Terrorists have used these weapons to attack officials and innocent people," said Suthep Thaugsuban, DPM in charge of security affairs, at an army barracks on the northern outskirts of the capital.
"Although the protesters have always denied terrorism or possessing weapons, after the rallies dispersed we found a lot of lethal weapons," he told media and dozens of Bangkok-based diplomats and military attaches.
Thailand's top forensic scientist, Porntip Rojanasunan, also said that four car bombs had been found around the protest site which paralysed Bangkok's top shopping district for six weeks.
AFP journalists reporting at the protest zone for the past two months have seen only a handful of firearms in the hands of protesters, who were mostly armed only with crude weapons like rockets and Molotov cocktails.
Concern has been growing over rights abuses in Thailand, with the European Union the latest to call on Thai authorities to respect the rights of the protesters and saying the violence had harmed the nation.

Thai troops hunt militants as Bangkok smoulders, , after an army crackdown on their anti-government protest camp that ended two months of street rallies. The toll from Wednesday's offensive rose after authorities said nine people had been killed in a gunbattle at a Buddhist temple inside the Reds' ruined camp, where thousands of protesters cowered in fear overnight. After the terrified protesters were led out through a police cordon, the army said it was not responsible for the deaths, in a "safe zone".
Since the Red Shirts began street rallies in mid-March some 82 people including two foreign journalists have been killed in clashes and blasts, and some 1,800 injured.

In the hearts of most outsiders, the army assualt on protestors is plainly unspoken incredibility, brutality and dire attempt by abhisit to hold to absolute power, but they just won't want to commit saying all these. In one sense of disbelief I will not accept that people are killing own people for the sustenance of powers, perpetuation of rule or for the elimniation of opponents. Is it for real since this is not a war where killings are unavoidable, or are the army just a machine made of robots, one may ask?
It is not a closing of a chapter......they just open a pandora box leh.
Thaksin is not happy. The ruling party is on its way to be disolved. The king is not talking. And the military is waiting.
Big time coming.....

Yeah, someone shld create a war game for SE Asia. Then shld be quite fun conquering all ctys under 1 flag. haha...
In the warring periods of history, such a situation like this may never last long, because an ambitious neighbour will seize the opportunity to conquer one in trouble. Luckily we are now in modern times. We are humane. Most govts tend to be humane. Lucky for Thailand. Hehehe.
And all this is very bad for the stock market...
Especially the after effects it brings...
The political crisis dragging on for so many years have seen Thai people in a terrible shape, esp the poor, more so if they eke out in urban areas for their livelihood. The rich are less affected for money can help them go outside of Thailand to a peaceful life away from the near "civil war" their country is having. I wonder if asean govts are anxious to offer any consultation that might not make matter worse or they have to be tight lips since there is no internal affairs interference as the asean bloc is merely an economic one without tooth for biting on political issues that even could adversely affect neighbours whose geographical borders are contiguous with the troubled member. Sometimes things are not always going along a planned journey in life or in politics.

The crisis is accelerating. There is a deadline. The term of the head of the army is to expire in September. The current illegitimate army-and-palace-backed prime minister wants to be in power long enough to name the replacement, to keep control of the military. The Red Shirts are determined to interrupt this plan.
King Bhumibol is old and increasingly under question. On his present trajectory, he will leave Thailand deeply divided, with no way out of the cycle of confrontation, in danger of becoming a pile of ruins and rubble.
