Hotung Investment Holdings Limited wishes to clarify the statement in the article published on 29 December 2010 by the Business Times titled “Hotung most actively traded with 113m shares changing hands by 10 am” (“BT Article”). It wishes to clarify that it is not a substantial shareholder in MStar Semiconductor Inc. (“MStar”) and does not have a “substantial stake” in MStar as mentioned in the BT Article. It holds less than 1% of MStar’s shares, which was stated in its announcement titled “Response to SGX Queries Regarding Trading Activity”, released via SGXNET on 28 December 2010 .

It is very difficult to trade this counter as your capital gain could be wipe out by the exchange difference (unless you've an USD A/C to hold your transactions in USD untill the $ is stronger vs SGD!). Therefore, my advice is to buy on weakness and hold for longer term. Cheers!

A counter to focus next week, together with the launch of financial one...Yesterday trading saw some big trade and less sell out....Maybe BBs are accumulating for next week play...Todays, the big buy has not show up yet...Do expect the unexpected. Hotung is going to blast pass US$20cts mark soon....
Note: No relation between the 2 companies but if Financial is placed at US$0.75, Hotung at the current US$0.17 looks very cheap...No wonder the company has been constantly buying back-share...Afternoon play up likely....

Good volume and closing price too...So far for this yr07, this is the larget volume traded within a day...With Financial One going public in SGX mid-next week, Hotung will have alot of catchup to do.
Besides, a recent report saying Taiwan mkt is favourable and suggest buying into it, meaning going good for VC company like Hotung, profit margin set to soar!!!!
BTW, Taiwan-Base Financial One IPO is set at US$0.75. Hotung as a Taiwan-Base company too and the larget VC there, share price is going to explode higher and higher...

Hotung is a fundamentally strong company with huge cash backing.

This is a laggard, compared to the other tech stocks with us dollar so low the share is cheap. Co should have turn around, profit has fallen due higher provisions for impairment in values of co's venture. Vested.

In fact there were 2 big buy ups......2750 lots at 1656 hrs (before close) and 2909lots at 1705 hrs (after close).
