Hello guys,
I was just reading through the 1Q financial results for this company, and noticed that they had not declared a dividend for this financial period.
Even though the numbers look more or less on par with the previous year-to-date performance, does the decision to withhold the dividends, as opposed to the dividends in previous years, suggest that this company is not performing as well as it should be?
I'm quite new to investing, and I would like to hear your opinions on this.
Thanks and best regards,
hello cookieguy, care to share what you'd learned about c&g business model /prospects.
(I hope to avoid serious mistakes too by learning.)

too many speculators around.....please do read carefully about their business model and prospects.
178... huat ah!
victor, agree it's about time for C&G to cheong...
More hard statistics on C&G for those who are new to the company. Read on...
C&G is in net cash position and has about RMB$554 millions cash balance. For every dollar of sales, C&G gets to keep 22 cents cashflow. Company's operating profit margin improved 4.5% y-o-y (2007 vs 2006) and expected to continue to improve this year with better margin products.
At share price 31 cents, about 54% of C&G market capitalisation would consist of CASH!!! and P/B ratio is 0.96 only. That's a fantastic deal ... need no further elaboration.
With sintech and fibrechem rising so much, think it is going to be C&G turn soon :)
Don't miss good opportunity to make potential $$$ ... last check, fair price $0.78... big upside to current price $0.305
It's time to dig into textile raw material related stocks again for their fantastic business performance even under severe operating environment. These businesses are able to pass on cost increases and raise/maintain margin in the last quarters unlike other china consumer stocks. Who are these textile raw material players? None other than C&G, China Sky, Li Heng among them. All those have good fundamentals and growth continuing into future years.
My current top preference is C&G Industrial. This stock is unresearched and therefore not on the radar yet. For medium term value investors, you would want to consider C&G. I believe BB is in-progress pumping up C&G at current level ... slowly.
That's all for now. Cheersss....
