For me, I play differently.  Will enter when I see volume playing, because I'm used to contra or short term play.

I am putting up $3K for this counter for long term dividends since their paying track records unbroken. Hehehe.
You R right!  One good news I managed to discover.  Two or three top brokerages are now shareholders when in the previous years, think there were none. Must be something good coming up!  CHeers.
Thanks B for the comparison   I agree that if one wants to put money ion Genting bonds, might as well put money on Azeus. Furthermore, Azeus quite fair value and likely to move up while Genting Bonds might not move unless interest rate falls, right?   But if interest rate falls, the more the yields for Azeus dividends.

Why not? Of course you will.  Use your calculator and you know I am telling you the truth.
Genting Bonds: for every $1002 invested (since the price is $1.002) you will get $51.25 every year and this is equivalent to 5.125%.
Azeus Shares: for every $1002 invested (at 7.2 cents) you get S$79.60.
The calculation is like this:
1002/72=13.9 lots or round up to 14 lots cost is=$1008.  The dividends that you will get soon will be HK$0.0348 per share, or $34.80 per lot X 14 lots = HK$487.2 (SG$79.60 at conversion rate of 0.1634).
That means you are better off investing the same amount of money in Azeus than GPBs.
Hope you get it. Cheers.
Last transacted price is 0.071 today asking 0.099 no transaction at all!
If can get hold of few hundred lot will be fine but to accumulate this amount seems takes a long time.

Is the price fair and cheap?  If I compare my Genting Perp Bonds interest with Aseues dividends, will I be getting a better deal?

Funny. Few people have this stock or why no discussion on it.  Investment means putting in money for future, and not gambling with it. Take out your money from the bank and buy this.  You get better deal from the dividends.  It has good track records of profitability and it is obvious the management is made up of honest and good people who have the shareholders' interest.  What they can make they will give you. Cheers.
Dividend of HK$0.0348 per share is approx S$0.0057 per share which translate to more than 8.3% of last closing price.  Thus using currently highest paid instruments such as Genting Perp Bond of 5.515%, I expect Azeus to move to about 10 cents.
At 10 cents, the dividend payout will still work out to be around 5.7% yield.
Aiya, they are both about increasing the share float lah.  But placement brings in money, while bonus issue does not create additional funds for the company.  Payment of dividends is an ethical consideration and commitment to stakeholders.  People invest and rightly entitled to profit sharing in terms of dividends and paying dividends by a company maintains a bond of friendship and honour between company and shareholders.

I would prefer the compnay giving a bonus rather than using placement to increase the free float.  Increasing the free float may subject the company to hostile takeovers which the original director may not want.  So a bonus issue of say 1 for 1 or 1 for 2 will be a better option.

I heard they are thinking  to increase the float. So if they do so, say by placement, shareholders will feel diluted.  But without share placements, lesser shares also mean less liquid.
But the company is flush with so much cash.  Why want a placement?  Better give some cash back by bigger dividends or bonus issue, that will be a better idea since bonus issue also increase the share float, right?

pennies with 300million shares only....BB interested?   even so how to play?
many days 0 volumes, u buy u stuck u cant sell......but buy to collect dividend ok lar.......
some good counters, holder dont sell one they hold on to collect dividend.....such counter BB cant touch.
Big boys will play this very soon.  I expect it to be above 10 cents.
I have been observing some penny stocks that are rarely in the spotlight to see any hidden gems, and managed to find a few that some forumers have already highlighted.  Some of them I will share later on.
Looking at the continuing orders secured by the company, I believe that this year's dividends are likely to be an attractive one. I am not vested yet, as I just returned from the States and are not so familiar with most Singapore stocks.
I believe Azeus Systems Holdings Ltd might be ready to spring.  A listed company cannot continue to be inactive.  Somewhere somehow the big boys will play it.  Not much distribution nor accummulation yet, but that could come.
A. NEWS RELEASE Singapore, January 12, 2012
AZEUS AWARDED GOVERNMENT CONTRACT WORTH A TOTAL ONE-OFF PRICE OF APPROXIMATELY HK$81.7 MILLION

B. NEWS RELEASE Singapore, January 19, 2012
AZEUS AWARDED THREE-YEAR IT SERVICE AND BPO CONTRACT WORTH
APPROXIMATELY US$7.9 MILLION
Contracts are with the Intellectual Property Department (“IPD”) of the Hong Kong Government as per news releases.
Dividend yields nearly 8 percent on current asking price and 7.3percent on last done price. Cannot get this with most bank deposits except Aussie dollar..  Furthermore the counter has a track record of paying dividends for more than 5 years. already.

I think buying for control is much better and retain the expertise and infrastructures and goodwill.

Although the stock market is a risky place to put money in, there are also sometimes a golden opportunity available.   Take Aseus for example, at net asset more than 7 Singapore cents, a good business and corporate set up doing business in many places, eg. Hongkong, China, Philippines, etc. Then a solid cash horde of US$16 million or slightly above Singapore $20 million (Hard Cash).
Issued shares only 300 million and if you want the cash you can use your own $20 million (25.1% for takeover)   first to buy then offer takeover, you get your money " back" (under your control). This is what I say golden opportunity. Anywhere else that ideal?
AZEUS beats analysis by performing better than expected. Instead of the prediction of loss, it is making profits and   it is also giving a dividend, and the company is now standing on a   cash till of US$16 million or SG$20 million, not bad for a small penny stock.   Dividends would be   HK cents 1.4 per share giving an approx yield of about 2.7 percent based on last traded price of 7 Singapore cents.

Dividends are great (the academic evidence is that more than 80% of a stock's long term return comes from its dividend), but a company needs profits to pay dividends. Azeus saw profits fall 83% in the half year to September 2010.   And here is their comment in November 2010.
The Directors expect the Group to report a substantially lower profit with a possibility of incurring a loss for FY2011 as compared to FY2010
Doesn't sound like they'll necessarily pay a dividend this time round, although their cash pile did rise, which is positive.
