Do remisers give presents to clients at year-end?

you are lucky to have a good remiser...in the past, my two remisers from two different companies always gave contradicting advices on same counters.. .and whenever i listened to their advices, i lost money.. internet is so convenient., you do own research and your own decision...not trade based on sentiments (so called tips)....the customer service hotline staff at iocbc is so friendly...

I wonder how many of you actually met your dealer/remisier face to face before or often? That's what we call "peronnal touch" remember? I started trading ~2 decades ago almost with the same Rmr from P-call - I-trade. Thus, we build-up mutual trust / understanding with each other tho not close enough to be a friend. But, I can call up anytime to ask for a significant credit extension/increase without Qs being asked. I think thats more relevant than receiving gifts/gratitude now and then. Well, he has been sending me cny cards annually without fail. |

I have not seen my broker before and we dont communicate. He is fine but never offer any tips. Can recommend me one broker that give me sure win tips? |

I think why the majority of brokers and remisiers behaved poorly in relationship with clients can be due to their poor EQ. Just as someone said they are no marketing men. | ||||

Hope I can shed some light on this issue House Dealers - working for company, they draw a salary and doesn't matter if clients make or lose, company will bear. Their final objective is to get enough clients and move onto remiser or dealer. Remiser - Agent of the company, can trade for themselves have close to 0 benefit, have 0 bonus - their earnings depend on their own trades or client's comm Dealer - Something like a remiser but more restrictions like having alot of red tapes to do self trades and such, have medical benefits but than again - depend on clients comm So the issue of recieving goodwill from a dealer Question is how nice is the client to the dealer itself - does the client call every week ? Give the dealer alot of business ? As such how are the relationship .... I know alot of dealers who does give vouchers during xmas or CNY but it's mainly to their top clients - cause give 20 bucks too little but give 200 bucks cannot give 500 clients also For your info dealer don't make much off the comm - for a 50k trade, they only take 55 bucks home and after cpf its only 32 bucks. |

if you are just a small fly, I doubt remisier will call you.. the most give you 10 pcs of ang pow packet, ha ha.. | ||||

haha.. dun mistaken, i am not a broker, mayb it's hard to believe, but my remiser is a nice guy.. he is from phillips securities.. but one thing abt him, he can be long winded... haha...

i am lucky to have a remiser who always caution me whenever i call him to ask for counters to buy.. its not that he is afraid i default on payments, juz that he always warn me to stay sideline when the market is behaving in a volatile manner.. he is even kind enough to ask me out to show me how to use metastock chart and all the indicators.. he sends me calendars, printed microsoft excel sheet indicating companies that gives good dividends, investments magazine and share magazine. i have frens who inform me that their broker or remiser always call them telling them to buy this buy that even though market is volatile.. in my opinion, i am only a small time time client to him, but he doesn't think that way.. :) | ||||

give...guess my broker is BROKE becos of recent sell-off...didn't even receive a single card....cant believe it..greeting cards also wanna save ! :( tell me which broker got send angbao and greeting cards har? i switch to ur broker :P

i do not have remisier -- iocbc internet trading.. but received greeting cards and 2 packets of angpow by post.. |
