STI testing low . Even with china support hang seng is cracking. Those with long positions should hedge with equivalent amount of puts to protect their losses in case of a market collapse |

Agree with newmoon, STI dips to 3000 is possible, if not, could be nearing to that points. Will Fed cuts its fund rate by Sep 18 ? If unempolyment rate and inflation rate worsen, yes, Fed will therefare be forced or pressurised to cut rate. What happen if the two reports sound good and stable then? Market will go up b4 Sep 18, but will go down after Sep 18, why ? I think Fed will have strong reason for not cutting the rate liao... |

A V shaped recovery is rare . A retest of 3000 is more likely and it most not break decisively otherwise you have to hold your stocks for a long time. Good luck to all the bulls if they are still alive. |

a pity it doesn't hold up above the 3400 level today...well...the confidence need to be rebuild over time...these US problems isn't going to go away as quickly like the previous China market corrections in Feb...jittery for many...but overall the market is a little more stable now...hope to see our STI climb up further... by the way, anyone still remember got 2 famous local feng shui geomancer masters say our STI will go up to the 4,000 level before the next Chinese New Year? hahah` i think i will engage their services if it really materialise =) |
