Without learning through experiencing, where can there be advancement?

In the meantime, there will be many enticing rallies for sure.

The first lesson should have been learnt last August 2007, during that huge rally.

At that time, thethinking was euphoric and many had expected the market to scale to new record
heights after the nightmarish huge fall... .

There have already been many dead cat bounces in the past couple of months.

Tell tale signs that a dead cat bounce is setting up are -

1. large increases in price index

2. core economic fundamentals remain largely unchanged

3. low trading volumes

Optimism and pessimism aside, it is good to consider whether the after-effects of the sub-prime saga, banks,  ie. it's real effect on the economic scene, has been already 'rectified'. Or are we yet to see the after-effects slowly unfold?

Only time will tell... but in the meantime, play well,

but must swiftly dump your adored favourite stock on the first sign of trouble ahead...

This is the only way to prevent larger than life losses...  

With the Dow's -171 pts fall last night (Friday night), many will be spending this weekend thinking of Monday...
