Furthermore, the after effects may only be felt gradually later, in spite of the immediate reactive exuberence...  

By the way, keeping a stock 'as a souveneir' is not an advisable thing. Since money is already lost, why not just chuck it (ba ta shuai diao) and wait for a chance to get into a better and winning position?

And one must not think it is only 'paper loss'.

Come on, there is no such thing as a 'paper loss'. All losses are real losses. The hard on-earth fact is you have already lost money!, not on paper, but a real loss!!!... even if you still hold the stock.

Hope this is educational... I must repeat that education is important... and good...

The simpler and basic the TA you learn, the better  for you. No need Fourier analysis, Stop and Go analysis, scientifically-weighted Averages, etc, etc...

And also, common sense will tell you if it goes up a lot today, it will most likely go down tomorrow. But many will think that the indicator is telling you it will go up, because it went up today. This is bunkum! Most people lose untold amounts of hard-earned $money because of being misguided by indicators, if nothing else...

And this is the true inner meaning (actually it is rather obvious) of indicators being 'lagging'.

(My posts are really not meant for experts to read. I know many experts will not agree. My posts are meant more for those novices who are keen to have a deeper insight into the underlying workings of the stock market... and thus avoid losing much more....

 

But this is only my assessment and speculation...

I am always ready to admit my own silly market expectation mistakes in a flash...

Thus I can easily be wrong...

Maybe there'll be a lot of dumping ...

And the big boys will not snap up yet...

Because big boys will also want to buy cheap-cheap later on...

Basically, it is either up or down... you either make money or lose money.

Even in a lengthy sideways congestion, the stock will eventually end up either moving up ordown.

In practical terms, we only need to pay attention to up and down.

(Take for instance Genting Intl. I has been dropping in 5c steps each time after some lengthy 'indecision' periods. it has just begun its next leg of a series of falls.)
