Core CPI Aug announcement tonite, doubt it will boost the street. Other troubled banks and broking firms, no concrete suggested rescue plans announced yet??? 2nite will hear the blast, probably? Ha ha, cut rate, only benefits the borrowers, but not the lenders, esp the troubled one. On the other hand, of course, rate cut will boost economy, to limited extent only, I think. EU market now with Zurich n London leading the down trend, though around 50-70. |

Said too early.......people are forming Q in AIA Raffles Place (Reported by CNA). I think big time, AIG just launch a long range missile from the opposite side of the planet and hit Singapore......

quite a number of stocks having a beutiful rebound from its lowest px up to now.... no reason why.... think ppl guess that is the attractive px to go in so it up loh...... rate cut tonite ?????????? i doubt so........ |

No specific reason leh, though HSI dropped down below 1000. So far related to US financial crisis issue is Barclay in talk to buy Lehman Assets??? Anyone, got lobang or kangtau? |

Dow dropped -500pts last night and now the futures is still -135pts indicating that DOW is not done with the slide. How come there are BBs still supporting the STI to drop further? Fishy leh! Could it be the case of buying up in the morning and let it drop like a stone in the afternoon? It happened many times here already! Feel like buying in also think twice with the DOW futures in 3 digits red! I think it's still wise to stay sideline and see show for me! I have lost quite a bit this mths bcos of the continuous selldown and assaults! | ||||

ML price drop b'cos it follow the BOA which bought it with an "all stock deal". Unless the latter headed north again, ML most probably will follow suit. Temasek is thinking of options it have.....probably they'll have no choice but to stick to BOA for this current crisis till appropriate time to divest unless BOA has got other offers for major shareholders. |

yesterday, Merrill Lynch highest only USD 22.68, and it dropped all the way back to USD 17.06... My question is... why Merrill Lynch shares is not jumping up to USD 29, but down back to USD 17.06 level ? If that is the case, how Temasek pockets 1.5 billion back ? That is using the price of USD 29 ! not with the yesterday price ! strange... I am just asking if this is the golden chance to buy Merrill Lynch and wait to be boughtover at USD 29 ? It sounds easy, but also fishy at the same time..

brother where u get 17's info fr ? new info? But the last Fri trading price was 17.05. as yesterday nite BT and late nite TV news focused on Tamasick, telling that the last avg ML priced to Tamasick was bt 23-24 USD. News also added that Tamasek will pocket 1.5b back to Spore.
