After 15min of tradibg, STI top 30 traded stock list...NO GREEN, almost all in RED, short king in worhing in progress....then after buying back later.

How would October fare for the STI? Traditionally, the month of October is usually the best performing month for stocks. September is the worst. Let's hope that this trend continues. |

I believe that the next couple of weeks will be crucial - both in terms of TA and economic outlook. TA wise - the next support level is around the 2250 level. If support is broken, we may see a further decline. If the index turns up from here, we may have well reached a bottom. Economic outlook - it all really depends on whether the US banks will start lending to one another since the bailout has been approved. If they still adopt the wait-and-see approach, the crisis will be prolonged. Signs of their intention should be pretty clear in the next 2 weeks. |

agree with u.......1 to 2 wks artificial rally, sti from 2297 to, maybe, support at 2500...cos 700 billion bill shud pass 2day or 2morrow........won't know how things wud go after mid tis mth.

Laurus Capital Management, which manages $1.6 billion and has posted nearly 16% annual returns since 2001, is shuttering an $800 million portfolio after its largest investor said it would withdraw $300 million.

With or without the package, the mkt will still drop due to the worries and concern of the US reccession. Maybe the Congressmen voted against the bailout again.... I personally would prefer without the bailout. Although with the bailout, all will profit from the short term investment/punting. But in the longer term, still see no light at the end of the tunnel.
