FED has done a good job, lowering interest rate, at least temporary to stop the bleeding of DOW. STI has gone lower than 1500 once, now rest at almost 1800

teeth53 tot, STI bottomless pitch is seen... isit bargain hunting.....?.

sti, hsi n nikkei fearing dj negtv futures tis afternoon slided down, hence if dj postv close 2morrow morning then sti shud gap up tis monday morning n then goes further up when hsi opens at 10 am.......1836 is resistance [shud b easily broken on mon].

I think STI very 'singaporean' style..see other pple (stock mkt) in trouble, just use eye power and see..no response..after situation get v serious then they got reaction..

amazing. STI is holding up even tho HSI has broken like 600 pts after lunch, the UJ went south and DJIA futures turned from positive to negative. o_0

I am also puzzled by STI's surge this morning. Although DJ overnight traded higher, but it was just merely getting higher on a volatile, not a convincing surge. So I tot today STI will start in slight green but will sink almost immediately especially HSI and Nikkei went down under.... Let's see if STI open lower in the afternoon. I might want to scoop some for punting... Cheers!

Bull run provided STI survives a test of 1785 support tomorrow. Need to clear 1836, 1850; Heavy resistance at 1922.

Anyway, watch out for Friday trade pattern - gap up, then collapse.

Most people would not believe if I say that this is the start of the long awaited bull run and end of the bear raid.

Right now we only have a baby bull, so markets will be extremely volatile both upside and downside, but prices are cheapest now (actually when STI=1476).

But avoid stocks with low beta even if they have good fundamentals like SPH, SIA Engg and OCBC cos they will rise at 1/3 or even 1/4 the rate at which the STI moves.
