In these bad times, when many are badly battered (eg DBS's price is now only one-third of the high less than 2 years ago), bickering over or good posts or bad posts is triviality...

If I have no base to disagree with what singaporegal is saying but give her a bad post just because I want to discourage her from sharing it in order to protect my share price, then I believe I am doing it for selfish reason. And IF anyone share the same reason, I will not consider it differently. Thank you for your attention. These days, I also notice your postings. May I suggest you review ALL your postings before you be critical of others'. To be polite, I will stop commenting on them here.

yes i agree thats why i am now long bias for at least short term wise. I am always prepare to take profit if signs are not good. 3 of my US stocks already up more than 10+%. i wont say it is a bottom but i am betting heavy on a technical rebound on oversold conditions. some TA ppl will know why and how i entered and friday and those that know why should be longing since last week. I already considered late to enter liao for i waited for more confirm signal before entry. |

All the gov stimulus package and interest rate cut will start to see effect on the 1QTR 2009. We are seeing billions of dollars flowing into the companies.. Alot of people are doing wait and see, when project are kick in demand will flow into the companies.. All BB are going to take holidays in December, I see not much action.. Wait for january, engine will have to kick start. Gov give 100 million contract to 1 companies, That companies give contract to 10 sub-contractor, 10 sub-contractor start to buy material for the project. Factory start to produce more goods to meet demand. ( The cycle continues) |

We had quite a few interest rate cuts, and the rallies were not sustainable.
So what is the reason for the bad post -- own insecurity? discouraging others to share what is likely?
Hey, I also don’t like to hear bad news, fearing it may lower my share price.
But let’s not be so selfish – let others hear what is likely and minimise their loss.
Of course, if you believe this rally is substainable, I would like to know (ha ha)!

Just remember that rallies due to interest rate cuts are NOT sustainable. These only bring short term relief to the market. |

I have doubt the last 10 minutes rally will be carried over to the next day. Should see STI coming down tomorrow unless miracle happens tonight in US.

China's cut in banks' benchmark lending and deposit rates by 108 basis points came a day after the World Bank said Chinese growth next year would be around 7.5 percent, the slowest rate since 1990. The People's Bank of China (PBOC) also reduced reserve requirements by 1 percentage point for big banks and by 2 percentage points for smaller banks. "It's certainly a lot more aggressive than anything they've done recently. I think it speaks volumes about just how much China has slowed down," said Anthony Muh of AT Asset Management in Hong Kong. ________________ Was a big cut from china... knn, so late den cut.
