Should phrase it in this way instead:

Currently, the STI is testing the 2660 level as resistance. Should the STI has push beyond 2660, the next target would be 2700 and possibly 2744.

If you sell a winning stock that is trending up and buy another winning stock, then good for you but if you choose a not so good one then it may not be good. I am sure if you have encountered when you sold a winning stock and bought another one. Then you found the new stock you bought just could not perform but the one you sold just keeps trending up. I also try to sell. I do that because if I sell and manage to buy back at a lower price, I can accunulate more lots of the same stock. But it has not been easy and the real significant correction so far has been in June.

My point is when you found a winning stock, stick to it

Sometimes they sell and the stock goes back up and if you don't chase you will surely lose sight of it. I am sure quite a few can relate to this. Then there would be some who would say "Oh many stocks have run up already." So they won't buy and just monitor. Four years later, you find these are the ones who probably would not have bought anything

It is not a bearish engulfing as the black body does not completely engulf the white body, note tat today's close is slightly higer than yesterday's open.

Rules of Recognition:

1. The black body must completely engulf the white body.

2. The smalll white body occurs with not much vol (yesterday high vol)

3. The next day's black candle must be sustained by high sell-off vol (today's vol lower)

4. A confirmation is suggested, ie next day followed by a lower high n lower low.

Yes, it is a shooting star, but by definition, confirmation is definitely required by  a lower high n lower low candle the next day.

If it can't break above the double top, it may retrace to the next support at 2522 on 19/8/2009

If it retrace n correct to 2522, it may form a bullish horizontal flag continuation pattern  as most of the emas are still trending up (from 30ema to 200ema, which is the long-term ema).

still the same call....i made my call in april/may 2009 and another call in august/sept as i always look forward (not in hightisght) for strategy to trade/invest in share...remember the MARKET IS ALWAYS RIGHT!....let the MARKET be the JUDGE...not you or me...cheers :)

 Alert Admin 		U must remember all these indicators are lagging indicators used primarily to support the leading indicators such as the candlesticks pattern, not the other way round.

I had created 3 threads dedicated to newbies under "General", "Trading Techniques":

1. "Learning TA" - websites where u can learn TA for free but of course, TA is not infallible, thus need to set stop-loss)

2. "Some recommended good Trading and TA books" - of course u can also buy TA books. Read as many TA books and money management books, it will definitely stand u in good stead.

3. "Advices to newbies" particular the 3 golden mantras which I formulated, distilled n condensed based on all my past knowledge n read-ups).

Take your time to read and learn, dun rush, remember "Rome was not built in one day"

Besides interpreting the 2 ma lines for crossover, divergence, u can also interpret the MACD histogram for divergence n the crossover the zero line. U have to do some reading to understand better.
