but sharp rebounce is due to Dubai right?...if not it could have go further down...but i see that Dubai is overdone ...so dollar may continue down later next week..

Aiyah, I also hope to receive the 72.5 Xmas present. But USD chart is telling me something else. The sharp plunge 2 days ago (broke support at 75) is followed by an equally sharp rebound above 75 (and is now hovering above 75). RSI daily has not reached lower bottom below 30% since the free fall early this year. This is not good news because all USD momentum indicators are hovering at oversold levels and waiting to move up, hence this may lend support to the 75 level. Xmas present may eventually be "a scare in the box!"

as a matter of fact...Dubai is over react..just some 60 b...but ppl always think far and wide...they will thk what abt other debt...and so on..and furthermore, stock is rally tired, so ppl thk a correction, and take this incident to sell...

.u havent seen Eastern Europ yet...they will scare dow till 3800...1.7T euro..

but that is in 2010...run by early Jan..

i thk dow is more sensitive to Europe..

Dun think it's due to carry trade. Dow futures has been reacting point by point with the dollar bounce since last night and not "plunging" when Dubai news broke out. The carry trade is still in command and intact as far as US and Europe are concern. As long as the dollar doesn't close above 75.88, the indices should resume its climb after this "arab scare". Note that HSI's 1000 over points plunge has already broken it uptrend line since March. So who knows wat's going to happen to STI next week? Cross your heart and hope to (not to) die ?
