Yes, certainly. Thriving economy brings stability. The Indonesia president Yudhoyono was re-elected by a good margin some time ago, why, one of the main reason is their economy is stable and doing well. Even Obama have to refocus his agenda from healthcare to jobs and economy in his State of the Union address yesterday. Perhaps this much quoted words by Bill Clinton 'It's the economy,stupid' said it all. Economic situation in a country during the election can make or break the contesting incumbent.

Victorf also posted something like "sell each time stock rebounds"...... Everyone sell on rebounce , the STI will trend lower and lower. If i still have stocks at hand, i would probably sell when there is a super strong rebound.

Boyikao, I am thinking about the calamity scenario of DOW 1000 ... not just in the economic impact, but also the social, political turmoil it will cause to everybody then. And not just investors, but hundreds of millions of people, multiple of 27 mil reported on the newspaper for this crisis are going to lose jobs ... companies are going to fold, people homeless, crimes escalating to ... the magnitude of it is just so unimaginable even catastrophic is too mild a word to describe it. It will be like dark ages! Arrrhhh!! Paul Krugman, the ever pessimistic nobel economist, a harsh critic all these while before and after the crisis, I suppose even he do not foresee this. Still, whatever the outcome eventually, keep posting your EW findings. Different voices are good. It well serves as a warning bell for those who want to take a listen or at least keep their toes when got carry away.

Two weeks ago was thinking of buying a can of abalone for cny, couldn't decide which one to buy cos too many choices.. Then One week ago, money got lesser, so gotta downgrade to buying a can of limpets or pacific clams, but still can't decide which brand to buy... TODAY... money got even lesser, ended up going to market buy half kilo of "si hum" (aka cockles) to celebrate early reunion dinner... sibeh cham (very pathetic)....

As the saying goes no lowest , there will always be lower. No highest, as there will be higher :) No one really can pin point. Choose a target and hope for the best :) Any lower point is the best time to hop on. Buy and hold and be rewarded. If it falls lower, then just too bad, just accept it :) |
