Ultimately, "there's a time to sell and a time to buy"... As long as one does not 'hold till the cows come home", thinking of nothing but 'major' cycles, one will not go "pok!"... Cycle are cycles, they exist in all sizes, it's not as clear-cut as they being 'major or minor'... Nonetheless, who is to tell whether we are, or are not, presently in the midst of a major downtrend in the cycle?...  |

Pay attention to the major corrections and not the minor ones. You make money in bull or bear market by riding on the major trend and not so much on the minor ones

You are right, Sir... I know your personal investment style is good... Long term investing is perfectly feasible and almost a sure-fire wealth builder... provided one buys at a low price (in the roller-coaster cycles) and buy substantially enough. But in practice, most people jump in enthusiastically and buy stocks when they are HOT, ie. when everyone else is buying... in which case, they are more likely to be "pok!".
On the other hand, traders enter and exit, shorting and longing, the stock market only at fixed and strategically determined points. Both playing methods have their own following.

My friend know nuts about chart. He bought blue chips like Keppeland at about $1.70 and hold until now. Money also follow him. If he were to trade in and out from $1.70 to now $3 plus, he won't make so much

Yup, you are right..Sometimes you will see all these stuffs, weird queues, fake queues..etc etc.. I hope to touch on this very soon on how the way the queues for volume is done to manipulate retail investors' emotion to buy or sell a stock.. rgds, star-trader

I think likely a mid term really is in the making......might see another correction sell down in june..of course in between profit taking is necessary.....might not see any major sell down in near term....

i already taken profit long ago i do not want to buy hold and waiting to get wacked these are the warning tremors like the last time and sti still hold steady after some time the cracks will come , and sti will joined the other bourses ................. |
