For Technical Analysis, you cannot use just one tool. Most often you need a few TA tools for more accurate reading. You should also know that different TA tools for best used for different situation. For example, I find that candlesticks chart is pretty good for day trading. Bolinger Bands are good for short term trade. SMA and EMA are better for mid-term trading. RSI best for short-selling. I also find that most tools are accurate in a Bull market and become ineffective in a bear market. That's why I abandon TA in Bear market. Please not that I'm a mid-term trader and a long-term investor. So, I don't like high risk trading. This means that I'll forgo big profits for longer secure returns. Someone who is a day trader or short-term trader will find my trading strategy very boring and will have their own style of trading. So, you have to know what type of trading you want to do and find your own trading style, than you will know which tool to use.
