Strategy for this week.. sell into strength.. Don't really like the volumes for STI.. kinda low for my liking.. will pare down some holdings.. anyway STI kinda overbought @ the moment.. so will wait for a correction then enter.. |

China counter is going for another rush next week...their C bank chief said that althought the inflation is higher then they have expected in february but it is still too insignification for china to be alarmed about and they will still mainten the currenty policy and no changes will be done....... |

Based on past 30 years, the following are the history. 1. Strong correlation between DOW Jones and STI. In past 30 years or so, STI correlates with the up and down trend of Dow Jones. Bearing any unforeseen circumstances, if Dow Jones hit the bull run, based on the various positive factors (improving unepmployment rate, low interest rate for extended period of time, record profits meeting analysts' view, improvement in consumers' sentiments, improvement in retail sales, improvement in housing, improvement in industrial output etc), STI will hit the high similar to Dow Jones. 2. And as in past 30 years' statistics, normally the next peak will surpass the previous peak, i.e. DOW may scale beyond 14,000 and STI beyong 4,000. The issue now is when will it be? Will it happen in 2010? Bear in mind that there is very strong liquidity in the market, with Fed keeping interests rates near 0% for extended period of time, with most agreeing that in next 6 mths, which means that next 6 mths will still have munch inflow funds. Government in Singapore also stated clearly that the first 6 mths will be good. Just look at the very strong demand in cars (COE highest in 5 years?), strong take-up rate for new property launches, record prices for HDB flats. Strong demand and strong economy estimated at 6.5% in Singapore will attract investors to take position and push up stocks in Singapore. Likewise, in USA, DOW shows very strong resiliance in past 2 weeks, with very good reports about the job market, better retail sales, high industrial output, improving robust economy in general etc, plus easing of Greece' worries (in fact Greece is only 2% of EU's economy so no problem). DOW is very well support, STI too....if SSE have any positive news, i think all s-chip will be kaughing to the bank after few days of supression. very impressive prediction, TA reading. by the way, is the charting available in CMC market good enough for stock chart reading. everything is about biz. The 2 hrs class is tempting you to take the class at a cost of $2,600. Then annual fee of more than $400. It's the same as the another company(charting study) which is having it's training centre in the ex-meridien hotel. To expensive. As for the sample for trial, it's not the live one but the historical one. Why can't they let people experience the real one for about 2 weeks, they are not losing anything but in this way, one can be more convincing. Can't even play with quite a few features, or may be I don't know how. same as the share owl. They let you see only the old history, but if they were to let people see the live one and when people make some money from their news and analysis, they can't live without reading news and charts from it and will be more eagle to sign up with them. pao zhiang yin yu(throw bricks to get jades) |
