GS saga is a Obama lesson o those "too big to fail" to defy his orders not to pay out big bonuses. But they ignore him. This is a president who will do whatever he can to go into history of America as a "people" president. If he can't get GS to listen to him in one way, he will get GS to listen in other ways. But do you think Obama will shot himself in the foot to shake up the market again by punishing these disobedient companies? I believe the world needs something bigger than this to repeat the shockwaves of 2007.

This Gold Man Sucks! I often wonder why US regulators drag their feet on the leader of the immorals in finance who socialise their debts and privatise their profits and secretly profit from their own clients who took their advice to investment in their fraudulent structured products. The ratings agencies who abetted the immorals should also be brought to book. And which local bank still has not settled their structured products cases in Singapore and HK but instead continue to promote structured products to the heartlanders? Don't understand why MAS allow them to sell to less educated and elderly albeit with the new rules in place. Was this Gold Man Sucks recently given a dealership license by MAS to trade in SGX? Is MAS for big business profits or protecting the small investors?

SEC acc uses Goldman Sachs of fraud Goldman Sachs was accused of securities fraud in a civil suit filed on Friday by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, which claimed the bank created and sold a mortgage investment that was secretly devised to fail. The move marks the first time that US regulators have taken action against a Wall Street deal that helped investors capitalise on the collapse of the housing market. Goldman itself profited by betting against the very mortgage investments that it sold to its customers. The suit also named Fabrice Tourre, a vice-president at Goldman, who helped create and sell the investment. The New York Times

Edge Mag posted that HSI is overbought and will drop to 20,967 in the next 3 weeks. So brother STI will be affected by the Hong Kong flu.... Good luck

Risk appetite seems to be coming back into the markets, possibly in a big way..
3000 should continue holding up as support and the next major resistance level is in the 3085 to 3100 region. The trend line from the February low has also held up quite nicely and is pointing towards the STI continuing its upward momentum.... ride the wave guys!! |
