The Governments are pushing very hard to prevent the continues down slides.

Their effects will most likely work for the short term... So, tomorrow there is a high chance of rebound.

Unless the bailout for Greece is resolved by tonite.

It looks like  we have entered a correction phase (over 10%) for the first time since the recovery began in March 2009, with the STI up by 88% (from 1455 to 3038)

It has been too long without a proper correction. Moreover we have

entered the 15th month of recovery and bull phases usually lasted about this stretch of time.

There were a few pullback phases of around 4-8% last year and a

sharp 9.5% plunge in Jan-Feb.

A progressively higher drop makes sense as better than expected GDP and accelerated earnings growth at end-2009 and 1Q10 and possibly 2Q10 would have been discounted by STI surge past 3000

I think not that sharp, might be still red, but getting better. Because something has drop so deep, must have such gradual power to be strength again, drop little bit, then sharp bull....
