I guess Alex meant to be good and care about ignorant newbies. I don't think all reading this SJ are experts or well verse in TA in depth, though many are well verse in it.

Another member au lang sai like Richtan....porque, pourquoi, why.......like what happytrade said assist each other to fight against BB--the Bad Boy, so please stay......:)

From your explanation of E waves, I can see why you may think tat you are no expert in this theory. E waves, unlike wat you said, cannot be drawn "at any point they want" to fit the theory. There is a specific Fibonacci set of rules to follow and to interpret within. You need to practice more.

As for your analysis using MA20 days and MACD, both are lagging trend indicators. Why would you use 2 direction indicators side by side without any momentum indicators to make any forecast is puzzling to me. If I were to use the same indicators u used, I would at least include RSI and stochastic to assist. And they are both telling me that STI MA 20 cross up MA200 with Stochastic in overbought zone, but with RSI barely hitting 50, which means inherent weakness in market internals. I would also be very concerned with market breadth when the cross over happened, to further cement the forecast, but I dun keep a daily data on advances/decline ratio. Smiley

I'm not an expert in Elliot Wave, but I do know the basics, so I'll try to explain why his analysis is wrong.

You should know that Elliot Wave is just a theory. Unlike other TAs, it cannot be explained by economics or by historical data.

Elliot Wave is drawn by people on the low and high points on the chart and they can draw the waves at any point they want to make it fit their theory. This is why I don't trust Elliot wave analysis.

Elliot Wave moves in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 up-waves follow by A, B, C down-waves.

He could be right that we are in Wave B. However, he conclude that Wave B has ended and STI is bearish.

But based on my MA 20 and MACD analysis, we are just in the beginning of the Bull Run.

In another word, we are just in the middle of Wave B and not the end, so STI is still Bullish, not Bearish.

I don't know when this Bull is going to end, but I think we may see a fall after World Cup.

If he is to say Bearish then, I would have agree with him.

But now, I don't see any Bear.

He just want you to go to his website and sell you stuffs.

He is just a salesman.

The market can either goes up or down, so no matter what he post, he has 50% chances of being right.

If you choose to believe him, than go ahead.

I wash my hands now from trying to warn people about this in the future.
