like what u say.. YET.. now still early. ppl still considering whether to throw. even the FEDS have already recognise the slowing economy. for me, it's a short. next week, i think DJIA will drop below 10k before coming up again. with the economy like that, i more of shorting than longing. 

G20's meeting no use. every country will cover its own back so i rather trust the Feds than waiting for the outcome of G20.

Let me give all some warm bath (vs splash cold water). Don't always wet your pants when the Dow dives for a bath. This is just doing a threadmill exercise.  You probably didn't realise the 10,000 mark is base building? I view it as consolidation of the DOW for more happy days ahead. LOL.

I think this down draft is caused by G20 meeting this weekend, as many analysts does not know what outcome to expect and are either staying sideline or closing their positions.

I'm hopeful for a good outcome, but am ready to sell if there is a change of trend.

 Alert Admin 		Hi Alexchia01. I am no gatekeeper of E waves. I have used it in conjunction with simple indicators like RSI and MACD. Maybe because I was able to profit from E waves doesn't mean that I will continue to profit from Ewaves every single time. But each time it failed, I revisit my analysis aand EWI's analysis to see where gone wrong. Then if the waves are not clear enough, I wait until the pattern clears up. I guess no TA method ever invented is fail proof. But I try to polish my skills and ask where gone wrong rather than hop to another method immediately. Mr. RN Elliot made many mistakes in his own invented theory as well but was later corrected ad refined by Robert Prechter who continues to surpass his RN Elliot and his own skills. For me, I only aim to surpass myself and my last analysis...Smiley

From your explanation of E waves, I can see why you may think tat you are no expert in this theory. E waves, unlike wat you said, cannot be drawn "at any point they want" to fit the theory. There is a specific Fibonacci set of rules to follow and to interpret within. You need to practice more.

As for your analysis using MA20 days and MACD, both are lagging trend indicators. Why would you use 2 direction indicators side by side without any momentum indicators to make any forecast is puzzling to me. If I were to use the same indicators u used, I would at least include RSI and stochastic to assist. And they are both telling me that STI MA 20 cross up MA200 with Stochastic in overbought zone, but with RSI barely hitting 50, which means inherent weakness in market internals. I would also be very concerned with market breadth when the cross over happened, to further cement the forecast,  but I dun keep a daily data on advances/decline ratio. Smiley
