Although STI Chart and TA are showing Bearish, but it's price movement for the last 4 Days were mixed.

On 29 June, when China's Economic Growth Data was revised, the Bears were strong Pushing STI from 2881 all the way down to 2830.

On 30 June, the Bears start at the low of 2770, but the Bulls said no way and push it up to 2835.

On 1 July, the Bears and Bulls have a tug-of-war and finally the Bears win with a small drop of 2820.

Today, 2 July, the Bull come back with some support and push STI to 2844.

I think we are going to have more of this kind of Bulls and Bears Fights from now on.

I'm guessing that maybe mid Jul or early Aug, we would be able see a better direction.

Technical Analysis on STI

In this week, STI index has slightly lost as the trading volume began to grow higher.

Important points to note

1)     In weekly charts, a “hanging man” with long lower shadow shown that STI rally is no longer sustainable and thus pullback will be well expected.

2)     The trading volume surged above the average benchmark mainly due to S&P 500 going into “bearish sentiment”.

3)     MACD and RSI indicators are going flat with MACD line converging together in weekly charts.

4)     STI is currently compressed by the support turned resistance technical/ 20 weeks MA at 2850

5)     It is clear that STI is on the verge of reversal as index drops out of the weekly uptrend line. Consolidation or pullback is highly possible.

Important resistance of STI: 2850 (Daily charts)

Immediate Support of STI: 2820 (Daily charts)

MY tactics: In the coming week, things will get nastier as the trading volume going higher. We do not encourage bargain hunting at this point of time though STI proved to be fairly resilient to the S&P 500 bearish trend. Later in the day, we will publish the analysis on S&P 500 and explain why we should keep sideline till clearer picture occurred in the Wall Street.

 Alert Admin 		STI has not been correcting while the other world indices were correcting substantially. It is a touch and go for STI next week - "GO" means "DIVE" ! Enough warnings have been given to the euphoric camp. Head and shoulder has been completed. No chance to run this time. Save your prayers for hell !

US Job report - ignore headline nos. but focus on private sector instead.

US Private sector gained 83k jobs in June - an improvement over May +41k (May revised to +76k now). So we see mth-to-mth improvement. DOW won't crash tonite!

Take heart, Alex...

You are doing fine. Be happy that you are a trader. And be thankful for having acquired your skills.

As for your long-term investments, I believe you have bought them at floor level bargain prices.

Many long-term investors who bought their stocks a couple of years ago (when the stock market was popular and hot) are already pok and pok many times over, because their stocks would be only a tiny fraction of their former high value... Smiley

I'm glad today is an Up-Day.

Give me a chance to clear all my trading stocks at a decent price.

Now, all I'm holdings are my long-term play stocks.

Overall, I'm still make a profit.

I could have made a lot more, if I sold last week, but I'm still happy and re-learn a valuable lesson.

"When The Signals Tell You To Take Action, TAKE ACTION NOW!"

My mistake is that I take action a bit too late and lost over 50% of my Profits.

Better Move Faster Next Time.

Now is to get ready for the next round. Smiley
