How do you know our school teachers are speaking poor English. As far as I know, they certainly speak and write better English than most of the people here.

Today switch some of my portfolio. Sold my bank shares because they are not performing. Pickup Oceanus, Armstrong, Li Heng and Elec US$. All these shares seems to have potential to run soon. Li Heng just breaks it downtrend channel last Friday, high chance of going higher. This is just my personal opinion. You invest at your own risk. Good luck to all. |

that goes without saying right? I judge e parents by how the kids treat their domestic helpers. That said I even make sure my kids clear their trays at food court.

More importantly we should teach our children the right values.... We have seen parents/grand parents reserving the best of everything (seats, food, clothing....) for their children but have the adults ever thought seriously of the MESSAGE they are actually sending ??? Graciousness, honesty, respect, humility, integrity, conscientiousness, filial piety..... and many more are definitely more important than many other things

well i think singlish is our heritage and i think as singaporean we should be proud of it but on the other hand...pls educate your children to speak proper english.thats what we are doing at home too. unfortunately our school english teachers are speaking poorly to begin with so its a vicious cycle. question being able to speak singlish n english...count as bilingual?

GENEVA - Contrarian investor Marc Faber says he is investing a large chunk of his money in Asia's developing economies to counteract the effects of a loss of purchasing power in the United States and Europe. On the sidelines of the Invest10 investment forum in Geneva, the editor of the Gloom, Boom & Doom Report told Reuters in an interview on Wednesday that ultra-low interest rates were making it difficult to value assets in developed economies, and that countries like Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam would do better short term. 'US and European interest rates are negative in real terms, the rate of inflation is significantly higher than what governments are saying,' Mr Faber said. 'You can see it when you pay for your insurance premiums, your groceries, your child's pre-kindergarten schooling in New York there has been a loss of pricing power for most people.' The US real estate market is extremely fragmented, however, and while investors remain cautious about buying there are likely to be some good buying opportunities, he said. Burgeoning debts had pushed major economies into a corner at a time when competition for scarce resources like industrial commodities and water was already creating tensions, Mr Faber said, adding governments could have to print money to keep their debts manageable. Although more bullish on eastern economies, Mr Faber said he is not adding to investments in China at present and advised investors looking for exposure to China to open positions in Australian dollars and in commodities. He was particularly wary of Chinese stocks and said Indian companies were more attractive and easier to evaluate. 'No matter what people tell me, nobody has a clue about company accounting in China. Looking at the 30 counters in STI, there are still a lot of room for Up Surge. I think this Bull Run can last all the way till end of Oct. Just my personal view. Good luck to all.
