No lah...Not vested in SGX. I bought 2 lots of SPC at 6.54 but dissapointed with the opening price today. Hopefully, it will go up as u said. Pray hard!! |

I have a hunch that SPC will surge pass $7.00 sometime soon, today?hehehe.... I am holding on to my SPC, range bound though, patiently waiting for it to move. Hi AK, no I did not LONG 1-2 days for SGX, exit yesterday at 6.85. Cannot trust the rally nowadays, may turn cold almost immediately. I locked in my profit and start a new trading day today. But I still left my SPC opened yesterday. Today, SGX may be good to short...hehehe!!! |

I had posted quite a details on Stock Shorting rules, including Naked Shorting, esp the penalties imposed by CDP on the previous forums. I think most of it were posted under SGX forum. For the new comer, you may recall the SGX posts for reference. One more thing which I didn't post under Naked Shorting is that if the first day, the shorted stock didn't go down as what you predicted and you naked shorted it to hope for second day it will plunged.What happens, second day you see there is potential on that shorted counter will rally, then you have to make decision to Long or to buy in the same qty of the same counter. This is because for your earlier shorted counter, CDP will force buy in for you at 11.30hrs on the fourth day(T+4, normal trade settlement date by broking firms is T+3). Hence, on that note, if the shorted countered rallies like hell till T+4 11.30, you still can use the same qty of counter to contra(T+3 window) at 11.30 T+4, to limit the losses. Laigi best, if this counter carry on rallies after 11.30hrs, then you can contra at much higher prices to cut loss and even you may make a gain, but slim. Basically, to place your fingers on stock investment, you must be experience, vigillant and has capital. Long and Short trading, once a while could be a trill's game, under volatile and bouyant markets. BTW, if you know who are Warrant Buffet, US, and Peter Lim in Spore of their philosophy in stock markets/investments, then you are quite safe leow. Cheers. |
