SEOUL, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Group of 20 (G20) summit that ended here Friday has achieved positive results with concerted efforts from all participating nations, Chinese delegation spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said.

Ma said that the world economy is gradually recovering, but uncertainties still remain, and that the Seoul summit witnessed the framework of G20 shifting its focus from emergency response to long-term economic governance.

Firstly, all member countries vowed to strengthen the role of the G20, and properly deal with the new risks and new challenges in the international financial sector so as to jointly boost the positive, sustainable and balanced growth of the global economy, Ma said.

Secondly, G20 leaders agreed to further promote reform of international financial institutions, and confirmed the 6-percent shift of quota shares to emerging economies in the International Monetary Fund, he said.

Thirdly, G20 leaders for the first time listed the issue of development as a major topic, and the summit endorsed the Multi-year Action Plan on Development over the medium term, Ma said.

And fourthly, based on the achievements made in previous summits, G20 leaders pledged continuous efforts to intensify financial regulation and combat trade-protectionism, and put forward a series of new measures and steps which will be conducive to the long-term healthy and steady development of the world economy, he said.

yup still here, going off in awhile too. Bullish u hav a gd break n recharge, will miss u ard.

How i wish can be like u take time off frm the exchange screen, come Mon still needs to combat my way out of Gar in +ve territory and gensp will take patience. No more panic selling. Can't clear my last 2.28 bought in haste after wed's stop limit was hit (but that also helped to realise profits bot in at 2.01). Frankly yesterday when gsp clawed back to 2.32 why had i hesitated to sell out to cut risk before earnings whc i did on Gar but was running late on meetg parents outside so i let the position run. Didn't short on cfd at yesterday's close, this morning also do not short with huge gap down.

When i'm on Nyse i always make it a point to avoid earnings season to err on the side of caution. geesh wat hav i gotten myself into.

Anyway here is the explanation.

1) You have 100 lots of GenSp of long position 1 day before announcement.

2) You hedge 100 lots of GenSp at 4.45pm.

3) Market closes.

4) Next day morning opens at 9am.

5) Price gaps-up 10 cents upon good results.

6) Short position lose money.

7) Long position makes money.

8) Close out short position.

9) Take the ride up for long position.

10) You lose nothing except for commission.

There a loophole smwhere also helps to mitigate risk, if u hedge short on cfd before earnings announcement that's typically after lunch break or at mrkt close. If earnings are upbeat, you can't close or cancel the short hedge when mrkt's still closed only when market reopens. When it gaps up the short order will still incur losses that has to be closed out instantly.

For today, short position gains 15 cents. Long position loses 15 cents.

Overall, gain nothing, lose nothing.

Except for commission. 

Hedging just means you don't make but you don't lose. Your capital just remains the same.

When  price  GAP  UP  10 cents,  the short  position  loses  10 cents as well ?

For today,  it  falls  15 cents,  the  short position simply gains  15 cents to  cover the losses  of  Long  position ?
