Cut the long story short.. before i leave this forum .. i just wanna share what the market is about.. it doesn't give a shit about you.. care about your feelings or whatsoever.. it has it's own rules.. own laws.. just like math... 1+1=2 and x^5 = y^5 when x=y ..... there's no running.. or hiding .. or anything.. it's the truth .. believe it or not.. read all the historical charts.. 1997 crash .. 2000.com bubble crash ... recent crash .. see all the historical charts.. see all the signs and signals.. see all the symptoms and see how it repeats itself over and over.. it's a law... it's just like a math question... 1+1 = 2 .. sometimes they show u 2-1 = 1 .. or 1x1 = 2 .. but all the same.. just different variations... I'm not a seer or a god.. but i have been reading about stocks since 14.. and i have seen through intern and jobs how the traders trade.. how they spend years practicing.. a lawyer and doctor takes 6 years of training to even earn a 6 figure annual income.. what more about a trader who can earn so much more...

 

You think it's only about buy/sell volume.. about this or that... for goodness sake.. if thats the case.. why do most people lose money.. dun believe? average yourself out since u started trading. keep a chart and see how much u earn or made (inclusive of inflation and i/r) and see how much better off your money is if u had park it in a bank .. if you are better off.. congrats.. ur a good trader.. no matter how small the profit .. it's still a profit... if you lose.. no matter how much u lose.. ur still a loser... whatever it is.. the main thing is to realize that emotional attachment.. speculating this or that and catching the trend will kill u .. formulate a plan a day before.. stick to it .. and ride it out... why do u think investment bankers start work at 2pm and end 8am? it's to prepare reports for their clients and the traders what to do or follow for the opening market... without preparation.. your f**ked.... if you think you can beat it .. and i'm talking cock.. okay.. good luck to you sir... if not.. please remember what i've said.. i don't want to sound pompous or anything.. after all i'm only 21 years old.... and many of you have eaten more rice then i have ate salt.... but i just don't want you all to cannot eat .. cannot sleep cuase of the money.. i've been there before and it sucks... and i hope that you all make it successful .. whatever strategies you use..

i feel that the fastest way to lose money is to try and chase the swing and see volume buy/sell trade .. cause you will try to catch the band wave .. and fall .. hard.. lets say u got only captial for 10 lots.. u need it to go up at least 0.02 in order to cover comission+ make some kopi money... 200 dollars - 140 in commission and taxes both way... However, BB only need 0.01 to earn ..0.01 x 1m = 100k .. - comission and stuff = still proft of about 60k .... think about it.... chasing the buy volume UP trend.. means you buy.. and suddenly u holding out for +0.02 or 0.03.. it touches it.. but ur queueing and the BB releases it at a 0.01 profit.. market flooded.. sell down .. panic... at best u sell with the BB 0.01+ lose kopi money.. at worst.. market react adversely.. panic selling .. u stuck ....

 

I feel that we shouldn't chase the buying or selling volume.. it's meaningless.. ask any citibank or merill lynch trader.... or Poems for that matter.. hardly people are recommende to go for tick by tick or min/second charting... it's dangerous and the fastest way to lose money.. look at least 4hrs- 1day intraday trend chart... and look at it overall.. for instance .. i told you that it's gonna go down abit more today before it bottoms out.. but people try to catch the +- 2 pip spread.. and they get burnt.. hard and fast.. You want to scalp the market.. you better be damn freakin good.. set your stop loss to +-3% and trailing stops to 1 or 2 of profit... don't get caught pants down .. i read the forum .. so many of you no trailing stops.. no stop loss... sure kana burn one.. you have to let a bad trade go no matter how much it sucks.. cause if it snowballs downwards.. ur screwed.. The only time you shouldn't put a stop loss is NEVER... Set it.. 3 % .. get out of there.. rule of thumb... Don't be like an auntie i know(not related).. play the stock market.. don't want to let it go .. die also don't want... say will go up .HOPE AND HOPE ..and then go bankrupt.. borrow money ... and say no money to even buy food for kids and take bus.. YOU WANT TO PLAY SCALPING.. LEARN TO STOP LOSS!!!!!!

 

That's not to say dun look at the buying or selling volume intra day . look at it to know where the general direction of the market is going.. like for instance.. 2 days buy volume higher then sell volume = accumulating (can see from accumulation/distribution chart) .. No need to post BUY UP BUY UP every few minutes.. SELL DOWN SELL DOWN every 5 seconds... no one can scalp like that.. at least no one that i know off even when i intern with these traders... Can go ask bullish tempo what he thinks of this...

hey young master, i have alot of respect for you now........ after seeing you are real with feeling for retail investors.

i have some questions, which I cannot understand on the BB activities....... see the above last two transactions.. eg.  they naked short the counter..... how long (how much time) do they get to buy back...... what i was try to see if they caught with the pant down...... it would be very funny right ?

 

then again, if we get to analysed they naked short, it should take some direction at the short term actions ?

you want to play.. can .. but at least intra day charting to plan for the next day.. and plan to go in at a target price for that day .. i.e u think today 2.16 good to short.. or long.. you go in at that target price.. set limit / stop loss at 2.10 or 2.11 3% 10 lots... and see the trend on the buy/sell volume... and make your decision base on that for the next entry or exit..  earn money... good.. let it run ... dun kill the goose that lays the golden egg.. if down .. cut loss.. reconsolidate .. see the general trend for that day.. and make a decision again... 

 

I.e if you buy at 2.16.. drop to 2.13 .. your limit 2.13.... you close your position.. you relook the trade again... up or down .. either go in at 2.12 or 2.13 long or short.. depending on what you feel it will continue ... then you short it or long it base on the BUY/SELL volume.. NOT no position.. u see buying then u follow.... Tell your self your TP , LP and BP .. target, limit and buy. then see the trend whether it fits your decision or not. 

 

Not don't have a plan at all and see the buy up or sell volume and ride it.... you lucky u get it.. u unlucky ur f**ked.

-OCBC (Banking) at 9.35

- GSP (Gaming) at 2.08
