Furthermore the calculation is not that straight forward as you thought. The issuer will fix an advantage like a ratio of exchange, 3 to 1 for example. This means that for every 10 cent increase in price, the gain is only 3.3 cents per S warrant. So you push and push to two dollars and before that the warrant expires, you lose everything invested there. You need to go and read up, think it requires alot of analysis before one is fully familiar with Structured warrant game.

No, I don't see that as possible, because you have first to buy the warrants which is zero asset based and then push up the price against the issuers. You must be a giant concern to do that, but the giant concerns are the issuers. Simple explanation is you don't benefit, but the issuer can benefit by pressing down more like a shortseller.

Seems like the sentiment is changing, if it can close higher than opening today a reversal might be in the cards. Bopanha, since the strike price is 1.45- but I can purchase @ 1.23 now on the open market. Wouldn't it be a priority then that the BBs pump it beyond the strike price to have the better deal? |

If one is really looking for play, then structured warrants such as STI and HSI should be good play, but you could get burn easily as they have no fundamentals and are highly traded. On expiry date of these warrants, they will become worthless if it is at the strike price for both puts and calls. You cannot have deliveries on such warrants. Remember I only mean STI or HSI structured and not company-name structured that are also worthless (not priceless).. | ||||||||

Pennies loosely follow TA and are never supported by FA. It's a high risk high gain situation that you can't control. To be honest most of the penny plays don't make sense to me so while I've placed bets here and there I was never really 'ahead of the game'. So unless it's speculative play like Myanmar or JEL, it's really any-penny's guess. Infancybird, thanks for that piece of information. |

Still don't understand? Check it out with your brokers (not everyone will know the mechanics) or do a bit of research by reading notes attached to warrant details at the sgx website.

Dear forumers, don't buy shares that are played by BBs who issued their own warrants on the stock's name (structure warrants) because die die they have to suppress the share prices below the so-called strike price otherwise they have to pay those who bet on the structured warrants. If the price is near the structured in a call, they stood to lose some money if the share price exceed the strike although payout is not much, They rather collect than to give, you understand? So go for penny stocks, these are seldom used to issue structured warrants. Only companies themselves might do it. So since Biosensor-structured warrant call strike is $1.45, they will lose if they have issued piuts warrants, but no puts was issued, you see? | ||||||||

The last price used to purchase the balance 50% of JWMS is artificially pressed down to $1.2215 to complete the deal . Hence I am thinking the mgt is probably keeping the price at around the same to fix another M& A. I also think other BBs will not like to see price below 1.22 too. We are very close to the set price now. Can I say that this Friday 11-5-12 may see some announcement?? Keeping all fingers crossed and cautiously optimistic.

Not a call to buy or sell- Just sharing-: Morgan Stanley issues Research Tactical Idea. Believes the share price will rise in absolute terms over the next 60 days. Notes the stock has traded off recently, making short term valuation much more compelling. The house expects a decent set of FY4Q11. Expects Biosensors to further expand its distribution network in int’l markets, benefiting from the advanced technologies of its flagship product, BioMatrix. Adds, Biosensors expects to receive CE mark approval for its core pipeline product, BioFreedom, from the EU in 2012, which should prove the key catalyst for the next 12-24 months. Estimates about a 70% to 80% or " very likely" probability for the scenario. MS has an Overweight rating on Biosensors. The company is its top pick for 2012. |

Well, I think SGX " jiaba bo hanny eng" . They are more concerned with why prices rise rather than why prices fall, the catchword here is " more" . Normally they dislike too much volume on trading of shares for any counter otherwise they must work more overtime to do admin.. Hahaha..
