I don't denied that fact there are bad company listed in SGX , but there are also good company listed in SGX. don't blame everything to china. why sgx let them listed in SGX?don't they want to make some good from listed company? who let you buy those bad company stocks?when you lost money , don't blame anyone, if you want, just blame yourself! I like china in some way and don't like in some other way, vice versa Singapore, I am not absolut to anything .but you denied everything from china as you said. still same suggestion. don't use any product made in china. don't talk anyone related to china. don't read any news from china.you like america, japan. just talk to them and they can give you money.

Good question on the ancestor sort of thing......are you a singaporean then?......if yes...about time for you to denounce your citizenship and join the likes of china. The link of Ancestors are only dated to the time of their settlement in a country...if everyone share your mentality...everything has to go back to the time of monocells...then dinosaurs...homosapiens. ![]() A country's strategy to position itself which lead to government-run big companies to venture forth into foreign lands is not our level to debate...small players like you and me are negligible in the presence of them...it makes no logical sense to quote them as examples. If you really insist to quote them...their investment is of bilateral political ties and what will yours be? ![]() I have not used a single china owned products after the surface of numerous scandals...but I maybe wrong as I am only looking at the declared tag on the products...like made in Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia...the products may be originated from china...then re-package in Malaysia and exported to Singapore...it could not be help if it happen in this way. ![]() Striking a dialogue session does not mean to understand them or even make them an acquaintance...just like what we are experiencing now...you may be a china, vietnam or malaysia citizen...it could not be help as there are too many uncertainties intertwined in your request... ![]() |

Yes! The cream of red chips got listed on HKSE not SGX! Only 2nd liner or 3rd liner come to SGX. This 1 is worse then CLOB in future. Most of the punters are either holding on to big paper losses or completely out of red chips by now. Few people r interested in buying red chips nowadays.

It is better to stay away than to understand them. I do agreed that there are good companies in china...just in china...no where else. Singaporean men try to understand china starting from their women and ended up with their entire savings swindled......Singaporean women try to understand china by trying their health and beauty products which ended them in medical clinics...Singapore government thought they understand china and we know the outcome...Singapore investors want to earn more through china shares and have their money misappropriated...Innocent singaporeans who do not understand china got conned through phones, internet and other medias. Perhaps the only reason to understand china is to safeguard oneself... ![]() |

Here’s a quick review: * China Sun Bio-Chem – In February, its auditors, PWC, told the board that they had discovered about 592 million yuan (S$125 million) missing from the company’s bank accounts. * China Printing & Dyeing - The company’s unit Zhejiang Jianglong Textile Printing & Dyeing had about 1.2 bln yuan in unpaid loans from banks and 800 mln from private lenders. The company’s CEO and wife disappeared and were later arrested on suspicion of fraud and illegal fund raising. * Oriental Century – the chairman of Oriental Century, a 29.9 per cent associate company of Raffles Education, confessed to the board that he had been falsifying financial performance as well as the company’s bank cash balances since its listing. * FibreChem Tech - a high-profile S-chip with a ‘who’s who’ list of institutional shareholders, including Newsmith and JF Asset Management, reported “accounting irregularities”. * Celestial NutriFoods - defaulted on convertible bonds worth $234.6 million. * FerroChina – dropped a bombshell when it announced that it would default on loans and go bankrupt – just weeks after it announced strong quarterly earnings * Guangzhao Industrial Forest Biotechnology – three independent directors walked out in March, complaining that they were unable to effectively discharge their duties. The stock had been suspended from trading since Sep 2008. * Beauty China – founder and chairman Wong Hon Wai pledged his 39 per cent stake to secure credit facilities and later saw his stake cut to about 30 per cent in a series of forced sales. He also tried, but failed, to sell the remaining shares. * Sino-Environment – chairman and chief executive Sun Jiangrong lost his entire 56% stake when his pledged shares were force-sold upon a loan default. His loss of control triggered an early redemption of $149 million in convertible bonds, which the group defaulted on. Note: Both Beauty China and Sino-Environment were plunged into financial nonsense when banks demanded repayment on loans made to them, after ownership of both firms changed hands. These loans had been made on condition that there was no ownership change. Which one is the worst and which one is the best? |

I found you have some bias against China.I don't want to talk so much.just want to say you don't really understand China and don't know how singaporeans do business with them.you need change your mind and go to China yourself to try to understand their lives, their culture, their customs and so on.go and check, you will find a totally different world from Singapore.just my opinion. no offence!

Bubble...bubble...bubble...and more bubble...Good China counters will not be listed in SGX...Singapore is a goldmine to china in everyway...they come...dig and go...dig and go...how many times must Singaporeans fall...to learn their lesson......sad to say...many fallen Singaporeans will never get their chance to stand up again even though lesson learnt. China A shares not for foreigners...so clever...only empty shell companies for foreigners. |

I think those S-chips company must have regret to list in SGX. If they listed in china SSE , their value maybe are a few times higher than SGX.In china, PE normally are around 20 or 30, some are 50, even 60, most of SGX S-chips PE less than 10, some are 2, or 3. their NVA higher their current price.the market a little crazy!
