No bonus for gov servants?? Chialat liao, 60,000 locals likely will shrink their expenditure along d way till end of d yr. They hv to redo their 2nd half FY financial spending loh. Ds is becos normally they will generously spend a bit more on each mth, including going for tour, as they alrdy had taken consideration of minimum bonus they can get by end of d yr to cover d $ hole digged earlier. hearing the same tune - do not believe green shoots unless you see green bamboo .. thinking aloud.. give a one-time AVC of $500 -1000 to the 60,000 civil servants in Jul 09 is $60 mil ? Or give vouchers like taiwan ? Would'nt it help to spur consumption and good for local businesses ? most importantly, majority of civil servants will welcome the extra income to tide over...
