Hi Opportunist, would like to share this analyst report by PHILLIP SECURITIES RESEARCH posted on Aug 15 = HOLD Blah blah blah...In the short term, AsiaPharm is likely to face increased competition, but in the looooong run, the outlook is positive. Now that the result is out, this analysis sounds good. |

Thanks to everyone who responded to my query. Results for 9 months and 3rdQ has been announced. Nothing fantastic but under the difficult business environment for this sector in PRC, I think the results are satisfactory. Future prospects look good and so I will be holding on for the next few quarters at least. |

Standard & Poor's Asian Equity Research has upgraded its rating to "buy" from "hold" and lifted its target price to $0.72 from $0.67 after the China-based pharmaceutical company bought the patent for sodium glycididazole (CMNa), a cancer treatment drug. "We believe that the acquisition of CMNa will strengthen AsiaPharm's product offer on oncology and be a catalyst for future earnings growth," S&P said in a note to clients. "As a result, we have raised our 2006 net profit (estimate) by 1.6%, (and) 2007 by 14.5%," it added. |

Not sure whether it is 4th wave down or 1st wave up. If can break the resistance at 63c with high volume, then it is on the 1st wave up, otherwise it is on 4th wave(up) of downward trend. Must check its FA. |
