SIA: Credit Suisse raises SIA target price to $18.20 from $17.50 after increasing FY11-12 earnings estimates by 3%-4% to reflect higher cargo yields; citing air freight market has been robust and Taiwanese airlines have reported good QoQ yield improvement in 2Q10 and believes SIA should benefit from the same trend. But notes room for yield to moderate if demand from Europe slows. Keeps Outperform call. |

Li Heng said that it is constructing its 2nd PA chip plant with an annual capacity of about 100,000 metric tons. Construction of the new plant will commence in the 3Q10 and is expected to be completed in the 4Q11. I reckon the rationale behind the move is to achieve cost savings on production amid the recently imposed anti-dumping tariffs on imported PA chips. Currently, it only operates one PA chip plant with a max annual capacity of 70,000 mt which supports about 55% of its needs in FY10. Upon completion of the new PA chip plant, we expect Li Heng to be self-sufficient in PA chips for production of its nylon yarn products. The total capex for the new facilities is estimated to be about RMB715m, which will be funded by its internal resources. Based on Bloomberg Estimates, the stock currently trades at6.4x FY10 and 5.2x FY11 PER. Kim Eng still has a BUY rating with TP of $0.35. |

Yanlord Land +2.9% to $1.75 in active trade following joint Rmb504.6m acquisition with Ho Bee of 6 prime residential sites in Tangshan Nanhu Eco-City. The market is looking at Yanlord again after the steep fall in past months in wake of China's tightening measures. Recent investments suggest the company is still confident of demand. The group remains a quality China developer with ample financial strength. JPMorgan has Overweight call with $2.10 target. |

Hello KEahzq This thread resembles like a typical class room.
During the teaching session the class will be very quite. Some students
carefully listening and others pretend to listen. But when the lecturer
talks some rubbish then the class room become alive, here again the
serious students watching it in silence. Your topic heading itself shows that the information here is
serious stuff. Thus it didn't attract much views, but the serious one
still reading though your very informative postings in silence. Luckily
this thread was not hijacked and become a rubbish talking point. So don't loose heart. You are not taking to the air, it is not empty. Here we are reading it in silence and do not want unnecessary disturbance to the wonderful flow of quality information. But after reading your post I too felt very sorry for not joining in your discussions earlier. Thank You KEahzq for your unselfish and very informative contributions. Keep going we are always with you.

SC Global: Phillip Sec raises target to $2.02 from $1.93 after increasing RNAV/sh est to $2.89 from $2.41 to assume launch of more homes for sale towards end-2010/early 2011. Views proposed sale of Australian unit AVJennings' (AVJ AU) contract building division for A$18.5m positively, as this would allow AVJennings to aggregate its resources and focus on the other divisions. Likes high-end developer's healthy inventories, and stable profit recognition from dev projects in Singapore, China. |

Longcheer has been firming up following the launch of a 3G phone, Totem on May 14 for a new Canadian wireless telecom provider, Mobilicity. Totem was specifically developed and designed for Mobilicity by Longcheer 3G and is touted to be the cheapest touch screen device in Canada currently. This 63.7% owned subsidiary of Longcheer is expected to make a maiden net contribution of Rmb51m in FY11, representing 35% of its FY09 net profit. Mgmt is targeting to list this 3G unit by Jan 12. This is positive news for Longcheer given its lower market valuation versus pure ODM makers. Mgmt does not rule out the possibility of a dual listing in HK to close the valuation gap. |

Shipping/Shipyards: Both BHP and Rio Tinto have signed new iron contracts with Japanese steelmakers at US$147/ton for 3Q10 or +23% QoQ. This could help alleviate the recent decline in baltic rates which have slumped >30% since end May. Recent newbuild order wins for bulk carriers by Cosco and Hyundai reaffirmed the underlying demand and huge Chinese appetite for raw materials such as iron ore and coal. This should provide some support for the bulk shippers and shipyards. |

O&M: Oil drillers declaring 'force majeure' on their drilling contracts appears to be picking up momentum with Norwegian state oil company Statoil lastest to warn that the 6-month moratorium is creating a very challenging situation for all parties - rig operators, suppliers, contractors, involved in Gulf of Mexico deepwater drilling. Under such circumstance, Petrobras may decide to hire idle rigs lying in the Gulf and this could impact KepCorp and SembMarine’s future order flow. The higher spec newbuilds will also command higher margins while increased safety checks and equipment replacement will be a boon to offshore service providers. However, heightened scrutiny and safety measures introduced by regulators could present new replacement cycle for the rigbuilders esp in North Asia. |

SG Economy: S'pore non-oil domestic exports grew 24.4% on year in May following a revised 30% gain in Apr as a surge in electronic exports offset declining pharmaceutical sales. This will set the stage for a strong GDP growth figure in the 2Q. Sales to the EU slowed to 5.7% compared to 21.3% last month. Electronic shipment jumped 38.9% in May vs 21.2% in the previous month. |

O&M: According to a Stanchart report, utilisation of deepwater rigs may drop by 10 ppts in the wake of the US moratorium on deepwater drilling in the Gulf and delay new orders till 2012. The surplus capacity may also prompt Petrobras to lease the idle rigs in the Gulf rather than build new ones. The market is currently anticipating the outcome of the recent Petrobras tender for 26 new rigs and if the award is delayed, postponed or downsized, it will have a negative impact on the rigbuilders. |

KS Energy Services: Co has announced that its land rigs have successfully secured new contracts. KS Discoverer 1 has received a 1-yr renewal contract (transferred to Gulf Keystone Petroleum Int'l Ltd, on the same terms that were prev announced). The value of this extension is worth about US$12m. On the other hand, KS Discoverer 4 has been awarded a contract from Storm Energy for a single well drilling programme. I understand the US$3m contract is for a period of approx 3mths. However, I contend that KS’s 2Q10 results may come in below mkt expectations as a number of its assets are currently in between charters and in advanced negotiation for new charters. Moreover, the group will also recognize the acquisition costs incurred on the consolidation of its Distribution business in 2Q. Based on Bloomberg estimates, the stock now trades at 12.5x FY10 and 9.5x FY11 PER. | ||||
