If the company indeed proposed to pay 8 cents per share to holders...........might as well, they buy back their own share with the money they intend to pay out.........

That way they can increase the assets/value.

If lost, and agree to pay even 1 cents- shareholder should be so happy already.

Many company make big profits but no payout devidents such as DMX and Oceanus :)

Have you seen the script paper b4 or not ? You think they waste $$ to give you a certificate, it is a piece of paper slightly thicker than tissue paper, where got pain, you must be joking, can use for wiping and sneezing (soft tissue)! LOL.

Low Keng Huat's Q4 net profit jumps 151% on construction

Low Keng Huat (Singapore) Limited reported on Monday net profit for the fourth quarter ended January 31, 2010 rose 151 per cent from the previous fiscal year to S$15.05 million.

 

As a result, net profit for the full year rose 114 per cent to S$62.93 million.

Earnings got a boost from the increased contributions from construction segment for projects Meritus Mandarin Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel at Sentosa and nex at Serangoon Central Mall.

Revenue for the quarter rose 15 per cent to S$145.38 million, boosting full year revenue to S$595.45 million.

The higher revenue was due to the increase in construction revenue offset by the decrease in hotel revenue. Development revenue and investment revenue were not significant.

It declared a first and final dividend of 3 cents a share, up from 1.5 cents a share the previous year.

The proposed dividend will be paid on June 23, 2010.

I hope non of them accept cos IPO price $0.46. Think the only exception is Itochu. They are pre IPO investor. Also hope that they will reject.

As for the Chandran family. Don't think they have a choice. No takers except for Glencore. Seriously, not many choices for them...

 Alert Admin 		Glencore really get it at dirt cheap and distressed price at .36 cents when there is no suitable successor to manage Chemoil.  So, there is great upside for this counter- just buy and lock up.

Says prospects for offshore support vessel supplier remain bright given strong demand amid
more upstream energy projects coming to market. Adds Ezra has shown it is able to capitalise

 Alert Admin 		SSC management is very prudent and shrewd - it disposed all the old vessels at the peak a few years ago and had recently acquired new vessels at discounted prices.  You can certainly see better profits and thus dividends again in the years ahead.
