STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors Post Reply Rate topic

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Big companies who have transferred part of their businesses here already find it very expensive and are looking to moving to cheaper locations. This can cause unemployment and also exit of foreigners will lessen demand for rentals. Those who bought hdb and depend on rental fees to pay for their mortgages will have a hard time to pay now. In addition, interest rates of housing loans have been down for so long and once it starts to go up, those who bought property with minimum funds will have a hard time to pay their mortgages also. This is when they will start to sell and the supply of HDBs will increase. Once supply of hdb increases coupled with lesser demand from buyers, prices will start to fall.

Most people I ask around are waiting to buy when it drops because they don t want to miss the boat anymore. Alot of young people I see nowadays have the money, not just the older lot. Fanning by political leadership if not then fanning by bankers including analysts they employ.  Otherwise, it would be steering towards death.  Don't come up with anymore IPOs for at least 2 years, otherwise having anymore like Religare makes Singaporeans poorer and poorer because they might have misplaced their hopes and trusts and suffer as a result.    Luckily and blessedly the market has sponsors like the ones for Dynasty Reit, who have a heart and pulled the IPO off in time to avoid more sufferings for lay investors.
