Need help in verifying nos. of shares to key in

That's what I thought but my broker insisted that to key in 20. I suspected he misunderstood as lots, and not shares. but he insist to key in 20 and 200 will become short-sell. Thanks for the clarification... |

You should key in the actual no. of shares, i.e. 200. The fact that it's tradeable in 10 shares lot has got nothing to do with the order entry. | ||

that's the part I'm very confused.. For normal shares, we key in the exact amount like 5,000 (to sell 5000 shares), so why for this we key in only 20 and not 200? When I key "20" into the system, it shows that the trade value is only $24.80. |

your broker ask you to key in 20 is correct....as the unit trade in the odd lot is in 10 share mah! so 20 x 10 is 200shares....that is 200X 1.23 = 246 dollars lah ......if not clear call you broker again....if not clear change a broker that can give you better service lor...hehehe

Hi all, I had 5,200 shares of Abterra Ltd left after consolidation. I already sold off 5,000 shares under Abterra Ltd and when I was going to sell the remaining 200 shares under Abterra 10 Ltd (for shares under 1,000), my broker asked me to key in the quantity as "20" instead of "200" through internet banking. Is this correct? You mean now it is worth only $20+ ?? I might as well let it expire in Oct if I had to pay excess for selling them. Can anyone help? |
