gee...with this new "threat" from Indonesia ...wondering what will be our new source of LNG? that LNG storage tanks that we are building...i think gonna get bigger liao :P ================== JAKARTA (Dow Jones)--Indonesia will seek to reduce natural gas exports to Singapore to meet rising domestic demand, a minister said. "The government plans to prioritize domestic gas supply. Because of that, the contract with Singapore must be renegotiated," Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Darwin Zahedy Saleh said late Wednesday. The plan will further hurt Indonesia's reputation as a reliable natural gas supplier, after struggling to meet its commitment to deliver natural gas to overseas buyers in recent years. Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Hatta Radjasa, said Indonesia will not make a "unilateral move" in its effort to reduce gas exports to Singapore. Indonesia is exporting around 700 million standard cubic feet a day of gas to the neighboring city state until 2020. |
