chek BDI down a few month(around 2200), thought shipping stocks and shipyard stocks should rebounce by end of this year due to more expenditure during new year . also look into the chart, that is why I bought them, bought NOL at 1.85, just after buying, continue to fall 2 days, but I think it will rebounce soon.still ok lah, not lose too much, but not comfortable!

NOL is just consolidating before the next spike.. If you look at the charts, it is still on the uptrend. Hold tight....and you will be rewarded. Vested interest at $1.65

NOL better. If you want to choose shipbuilder, should compare against YZJ. COSCO cancelling too many orders... |

Wednesday, September 23, 2009Neptune Orient Lines NOL - Downgrade to HoldRecent surge in share price. The share price has risen by about 20% since our last report on 2 September 2009. We would like to highlight that NOL is still expected to post a full year loss of US$633m in FY2009F. Although we are anticipating a recovery in 2010, it is projected to report a loss of US$131m in FY2010F. It is only in FY2011F that we expect a profit of US$208m.Downgrade from Buy to Hold with fair value at S$2.12. We have a fair value of S$2.12 for the stock. This works out to 1.2 times book value for FY2009F. We derive our fair value based on expectations that NOL will start recovering from the downturn in FY2010F. Due to limited upside of 11.6% to our target price, we downgrade the stock from buy to hold. Sponsored Links |

Last night oil prices fell and some of the beneficiaries may include NOL, some marine, shipping and tsc sectors. So good chance for them to move soon. | ||||

I oso bought cosco but was wondering how come NOL lost $$ but still go up so high,is it because BB try to accumulate cosco by pressing the price down | ||||

I pick Cosco although the company generate lower profit and bottomline still profitable compare with NOL in red 0.5 billion so far . | ||||

these 2 brothers are sleeping too long! now even 2nd or 3rd line will catch up with them , specially for coscorp. the heart is really hurt by these 2 counters.still lose money! 
anyone else lose money due to these 2 counters? |
