why did poems call us and ask us to clear all shorts on Capmall at 4.20pm 5 mins notice at the highest price of the day 1.11. Is that permitted. They said the CDP was calling back the share . So many would have incurred big losses on this No this was not a naked short and done after the book closure date all they said was the CDP recalled the share "due to force-closure of their CFD hedge position" They sent a email referring to their terms and conditons where at any time they can force close all CFD positions due to closure of their Hedge position. |

from what i heard, CDP will not be informed until the next following day when all positions are cleared. how can they influence ppl to cover shorts? if this is the case then price will definitely go up.. i think its more like they are trying to limit their loses on cfd. i don't hear kim eng or kay hian calling their clients to cover. not sure if they will call but at least they din call mi. |

if that's real, the price will keep going up, as you said, they have to cover the shorts by 4.20 pm...

Interesting...I am guessing it may have something to do with the deadline relating to rights. What type of short was it (eg same day or naked) and when was it shorted (eg after cum rt)? | ||
