received another letter from uob kay hian. "...Citigroup Inc has announced a reverse stock split at any time prior to 30 june 2010 as follows: Rate : 7 old shares into 1 new share..." |

For US stocks, small lots can still be traded. So if citi go stock split, at 30:1, then 1000 shares become 33.33 shares. The decimal shares don't know what to do with them. Anyone with experience? | ||||

Not likely to get the insider news as when the grp will forecast d actual date of splitting. On the otherhand, if the grp intended to push up the px for better split px, then looking at the uptrend of the stock px vs the market index could be one of the option to determine the roughly conversion period loh, AK guesses. Nonetheless, any supporters on Citi, Fm n Fre, got news, kindly propagate n let us run road together. Cheers. |

If that is the case those of us with profit should take first lor and see what happen when reverse stock split is done. Maybe like AIG. | ||||

wah lao, US stock, i only ve C, FNM, FRE and Lehman (but done liao). if such is the case, all my 3 stocks kanna. good or bad, i dunno. but, considerin i didnt sell them during the darkest of times, i will continue to hold them. hope i will be rewarded for my persistence. |

not a bad idea. previously AIG splitted 20:1, consol px next day was 18.08 USD fr last done px of 1.16USD. ha ha, it just clocked 49.00, up 11.00. Citi now ard 4.85. If consol now, with 2:30 split ratio, then a helfty of 72.75 USD would likely be d offer px liao. But a bit too high as compared to JPm of current px of 43.00 and BOA just only 17. If thats come true, AK chiat lak liao, then I will be holding odd lots liao. Hope they can hold d horse for a while until I clear them first. Incidentally, article also mention F Mae n F Mac may consol as well. If comes true, kena also. |
