Like most planets mercury appears to go backwards in the sky. Even though this is an illusion it turns out that it is of enormous significance to human affairs. The phenomenon is known as -mercury retrograde- and it occurs about every 4 months, lasting 3 weeks each time. These periods are full of misunderstandinss and are very frustrating and confusing. Mercury deals with numbers and words, communication and money are often subject to error and confusion. The critical mercury periods for 2006 are-2 march to 25 march-4 july to 29 july- 28 oct. to 18 nov. The first and last day of each of thes periods is generally the worst. A good example of a mercury retograde effect is the presidential election of 2000.Nov 7 of that year was the last day of a mercury retrograde and the election was severely and historically marred by unprecedented technological problems related to ballots arguments and decisions being repeatedly reversed. Tomorrow we enter such the last day of such a period so watch out for problems ahead. Not a good time to invest. |
