Hmmmm if for the other new IPO 11,000 x 20c is like $2,200......surely more can afford to apply for 11,000 shares rite? And I tik most will know if u want to apply 1lot is key as 1000shares not `1' so if u want to get more than 1lot for the 20c IPO u can try 11,000 to get into 2nd pool if u kana u will have 2 or more.... den 51 or 100/101 next pool........actual allocation will be shown on the paper after the results is released, u can read on that to get a better idea ;p |

that is if u have so much money to try for 11000 shares.. cos if u have... normally pple will already use it for other counters instead of keeping it in bank for the purpose of trying for more lots..

Hi we can add our know-hows or questions abt IPO on this tread...I would like to contribute this for a start...say for this New IPO STX that debuts this friday..I have frens confusing on how many `lots' they want to subscirbe...my ans to them is simple just subscible 1 or 11lots....y?? Normally the allocation is in this manner: 1-10lots- u will get 1lot if u got the ballot results in your favour...(so no matter u apply 2, 8 or 10 u still belong to this group) 11-50 or 100lots -2nd group will get between 2-5 depends on their allocations.. 100lots and abv another group... I believe most of us will fall to 1st and 2nd grp..so next time if u want to get more then 1lot just apply for 11,000 shares if not just 1000shares. How to check if u got the IPO?? Normally u can check ur bank balance the day before its debut trades, if full sum is refund means u did not kana... Anyone here can provide other means to check?? check thru ATM also possible I tik OCBC has a page to check results of IPO... |
