tax exempt and one-tier tax are the same (i.e. no tax on dividend). Less tax means dividend is taxable. So if a company says $0.10 dividend less tax, corporate tax in Singapore now is 17%, so your net dividend is $0.083 per share. Hope this helps. |

all sifu out there, help me out this problem.. a bit confusing for me. for the cum dividend, 'tax exempt', 'less tax' and 'one-tier'... got any difference? if i purchase 100,000 units at price 0.11 = $11,000 exclude tax, clearing fees & broker fees, how much dividend i get? let said company A give 0.0035 & 0.0065 one-tier tax. Company B give 0.0035 & 0.0065 tax exempt. Company C give 0.0035 & 0.0065 less tax. All same 100,000 units X 0.01 (0.0035+0.0065) = $1,000? almost 10% dividend? or got difference? pls help me out... tq |
