I suggest a buy into SPH as it is not only defensive in nature, it's couple with Sg's economic recovery, opening of IRs
which will lead to increase advertising revenue next year. More over,
it has a strong management team and balance sheets, good and stable
dividends policy - with the completion of Sky11 and hopefully
divestment of M1 shares, it will give out higher special dividends.

firstly i am no guru..so just giving some of my thoughts. guess it really depends on your investment intent. for me, if going for short term i will look at counters with relatively high trading volume. but for mid to long term, definitelyl i will look at blue ships and some mid-cap counters in the growth sectors. |

Hi, Any gurus can give some tips on some defensive stock picks for the 2010? Seems like the equity market is going to be unpredictable in 2010, defensive stock picks is a must i feel! |
