Oh no, paper loss of more than 50% just within one month. I myself wonder if cut loss or money cost averaging better??? Any suggestion?

Why do u think so? It has been sold down from $0.63 (3 June 2008) to its current price of $0.155, it's about 75% discounted. Look rather attractive. Any bad news coming out soon?

nah, i would put 1,900 only as a remote possibility. it means almost all of the STI components have to fall to below 2003 levels, which means they'd be trading below NAV. FA practioners would swoop in to buy if that ever was realised.
the disappointment if you ask me: that other asian govts will step in to shore up their markets; but our own govt will do nothing. Except buy in foreign, tanking banks. haha. |

Huh, how low can it go, my average price still above Sgd.0.43, I 'll buy again when it has reached Sgd. 0.095! another 1500 lots. I do not believe it won't go up.

Oh no, another huge loss counter of mine, will further money cost averaging when price has reached Sgd. 0.03. I do not believe it will be down below Sgd. 0.03!!!

I agree with DOW up 165 and S & P up over 20, STI getting over 3000 is not a problem. I prefer to stick close look on S & P cause it gives a better overall pictures of the entire market. Is this just a technical rebound? Buy when everyone is afraid. If you see some light in the tunnel, others also see it, then who lose money in the stock exchange? www.investinsgx.com

Oh no the worst paper capital loss I have had in this counter since I bought the price at Sgd. 1.23 and accumulate buying doing cost averaging, the price seems moving down ward all the time. I wonder how low can it go? Sgd. 0.7. 0.6 or 0.5??? Any suggestion? Should I cut loss and later buy back at lower price?

Global semiconductor sales won't rise as fast as previously forecast this year as competition crimps prices, particularly for memory chips, an industry group said on Wed, helping to send a popular chip stock index down 3.4%. The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) sees global chip sales gaining 4.3% to US$266.6 billion in 2008, down from a growth forecast of 7.7% issued in Nov.
Last week market research firm Gartner forecast global chip revenue would increase 4.6% to US$286.5 billion this year, up from its Feb estimate of a 3.4% rise.
The SIA also said it expected chip sales to rise at a compound annual growth rate of 6.1% through 2011. In its midyear update, the association said it saw slower growth for 2008 despite healthy demand for products such as mobile phones and personal computers. |
