Po..bian...... Go for money cost averaging from Sgd. 9.5 to Sgd. 0.005 especially to this counter then!

D dividend is d cash return to d share holders, after using H progressive earnings to pay out any liabilities along d line. Then d remaining NPAT would be used to gauge how much cash need to be return to d holders, esp when coy dun need so much cash idling ard for cap ops.
In FY08, H + 2H total NPAT was 478.32M. Total cash returned to share holders were H 6cts 2H 32cts, tot 0.38.
In FY 09, H+2H NPAT was declined to 305.657m. Hence, with d decline in profit, coy had to proportionally return less cash to d share holders loh, as d normal expenditure likely variant was not that great. Dun forget d directors fees oh. Heng, unlike bank sector, no bad debt to be written off, normally.
Pse note 08 tot shares was 1068.092m. Whereas it was now 1070.879m.

For FY2008, i take the dividend of $0.36 multiply with the total shares, i get around the same amount of 413millions dividends paid.
But for FY2009, i take the dividend of $0.26 multiply with the total shares, i only get around 200millions+.
Sadly i can't make it to the AGM.

Yes, I like the singing too, but I don't like the smoky ambience...quite 'intoxicating'... hehehe... I already shorted it recently @1.19... (after it failed to gap up after the trading halt)... and covered already for some Carlesberg... But if my assessment of the trend is right, there may be still some more juice to go... till maybe .85

Huh, no other good way rather than go for money cost averaging from Sgd. 0.715 to 0.005!

When i start this post, the price is about 0.63. It did dropped to ~0.58 before rebounded to 0.70+. Since then I had unloaded all my shares @ 0.70. Should you cut loss & exit @ this juncture? Nope, it's too late if you have bought it @ 0.71 & want to exit now @ 0.575, it's a big loss.....

URA releases flash 3rd quarter 2009 private residential property price index
The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) released today the flash estimate of the price index of private residential property for 3rd Quarter 2009.
Based on the estimated price index of private residential property, prices rose from 133.3 points in the 2nd Quarter 2009 to 154.5 points in the 3rd Quarter 2009. This represents an increase of 15.9%, compared with the 4.7% decline in the p revious quarter (see Annex A).
URA also released today the flash estimates of the price changes in the 3 geographical regions for 3rd Quarter 2009. Prices of non-landed private residential properties increased by 16.2% in Core Central Region, 19.1% in Rest of Central Region and 15.4% in Outside Central Region in the quarter (see Annex B). In comparison, for 2nd Quarter 2009, prices of non-landed private residential properties decreased by 5.2% in Core Central Region, 4.4% in Rest of Central Region and 2.3% in Outside Central Region.
The flash estimates are compiled based on transaction prices given in caveats lodged during the first ten weeks of the quarter supplemented by information on the number of new units sold. The statistics will be updated 4 weeks later when URA releases the full 3rd Quarter 2009 real estate statistics, when more data on the caveats lodged and the take-up of new projects are captured. Past data have shown that there could be significant differences between the quarterly price changes indicated by the flash estimate and the actual price changes. The public is advised to interpret the flash estimates with caution.
URA will continue to release relevant price sensitive information in a timely manner to allow the public to make informed decisions. On the supply side, the statistics on private residential units in the pipeline, which were last released in April 2009, will be updated in the 3rd Quarter 2009 Real Estate Statistics to be released on 23 October 2009.

Bank Negara Malaysia governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz has declined to comment on a reported investigation into a US hedge fund by the US and Malaysian authorities.
Zeti told reporters after the signing of an agreement between BIMB Holdings Bhd and Dubai Financial LLC that the central bank cannot comment on investigations which are still in progress.
According to media reports, the US and Malaysian regulators have launched investigations into hedge fund Aeneas Capital Management LP, after its investments in Malaysian stocks caused heavy losses in its Priam fund.
If true, wonder if any SGX stocks are involved in the hedge fund. |
