ask urself has CMZ biz changed? did it get worse off?

did less people eat veges from CMZ due to the decline of the markets?

just have to apply common sense when it comes to stocks..

Global Yellow Pages diversifies into food, buys 16.73% more of Yamada

Global Yellow Pages will issue 82.24 million new shares to Mr Chen. The shares will represent 11.16 per cent of its enlarged share capital - PHOTO: SPH


Global Yellow Pages Limited said on Wednesday that it was diversifying into the food business by buying an additional 16.73 per cent stake in Yamada Green Resources Limited.

Yamada is a major supplier of self-cultivated edible fungi as well as a manufacturer and distributor of processed food products in Fujian, China.

Global Yellow Pages has entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement with Sam Goi Seng Hui and Hydrex International Pte Ltd, which is a special purpose vehicle owned by Mr Goi and Koh Boon Hwee, to buy 8.48 per cent of Yamada for S$11.63 million, based on S$0.275 a share.

Following the share sale, Hydrex will continue to hold a 8.43 per cent stake in Yamada.

Global Yellow Pages is raising $7.6mil from a 99.9mil‐ share placement to Sam Goi (76.7mil shares) and Cluny Capital (23.2mil). The shares are to be issued at 7.61 cents each. Global Yellow Pages will use the proceeds to fund future acquisitions and business expansion, and for its general working capital.

Sam Goi is a long term investor, i have followed him on several occassions, notably lian beng when it soared from $0.3 to $0.8 during the casino hype days.

Yamada's fundamentals are looking pretty good on paper. definitely worth investing and with Sam Goi backing Yamada through yellow pages and his own investment tie up with Koh Boon Hwee, i'm sure Yamada will move much higher in time to come.

have to be patient on Sam Goi's stock, it will blossom but it takes time.

Just like all value stocks, takes time to go up to its intrinsic value, rather than fly up in short periods.

12 Jun 2013 11:49 GYP enters into a share swap agreement with Yamada's Chairman and CEO, whereby GYP will issue 11.16% new shares to the latter in exchange for a 8.25% stake in Yamada. Mr Sam Goi Seng Hui forges strategic alliance between GYP and Yamada by reducing his stake in Yamada...

called zero sums game..

don't be the herd, be the leader and spot good fundamental shares that are not in the spotlight

instead of just flowing the crowd..

I paid my tuition fee in stock market for a long time now so  I  know the retail traders  are actual  looser (and small numbers of BB can also be looser) ... when market has got good news, BB has got the power to push up prices, so retail trader follows  usually pick up at higher prices and when bad news comes, BB exit with greater power to drop prices leaving retail trader stuck and usually  cut lost specially contra trader.... and when stock at low price BB will start picking up slowly (so price will not rise when retail trader starts selling)...

Someone lose for somebody gain... this is the name of the game
