DIVIDEND you may get but correspondingly and relatively with much much lower CAPITAL GAIN than the other good selective stocks! As a result is coming back to SQUARE one!!!

0000 GMT [Dow Jones] Singapore companies likely to return cash to shareholders next year due to record equity fund raising, better-than-expected free cash flows, lower dividend payouts in 2009, says Credit Suisse; "we see cash distribution potentially returning in a big way over the next 12-18 months." Estimates cash position of Singapore Inc. to rise 13% in 2010, another 20% in 2011; "historically, there has been a strong relationship between improvements in free cash flows and cash position and subsequent dividend distributions." Tips CapitaLand (C31.SG), Singapore Airlines (C6L.SG), Keppel Corp. (BN4.SG), MobileOne (B2F.SG), Singapore Press Holdings (T39.SG) as companies that could dish out higher or special dividends in 2010. (FKH)

Please check all the recent and pass default S-chips counters, you 'll notice one thing, i.e. all are very liquid and everyday with big volume transaction! The said company focus on its capital market corporate action and not really doing well on their business management/activities eventually just take the public money as much as they can and run away! While illiquid counter since no market participation, less selling sentiment because the price has been depressed low even 50 to 90% below their NAV, while buyer sentiment not much because hardly traded this kind of counters, to make it worst, all the relevant bankers, brokers withdraw such illiquid counters from their marginable list, so lesser and lesser investors and speculators participation/active to all these illiquid counters subsequently!!! The truth are all the S-Chip counters concentrated on their business, while coming to fund raising activities for any business expansion activities generally in common practices always been biased by SGX due to their volume trading not reaching their standard... as such progressively more and more planning of self go private by offering themself buying all their shares back (like Full-Apec counter), also lesser and lesser new S-Chips counter intend to list here (SGX). So that the ghost circle formed towards S-Chips now, as far as my analyse!

abc2xyz      ( Date: 01-Dec-2009 17:04) Posted:

I believe Hulumas is confident in what he is buying.  But this counter got no play and that is the worst nightmare an investor can face. No play and it makes manipulation easy.  It is very frustrating if you hold on to a counter whether good or not and it is illiquid.

CHINA JISHAN is leading the trend and reaching Sgd. 0.10, what will be the next target closing price? Could it be Sgd. 0.28? What does it imply to today up 2.5 points to Sgd. 0.10 price?

Here’s a quick review:

* China Sun Bio-Chem – In February, its auditors, PWC, told the board that they had discovered about 592 million yuan (S$125 million) missing from the company’s bank accounts.

* China Printing & Dyeing - The company’s unit Zhejiang Jianglong Textile Printing & Dyeing had about 1.2 bln yuan in unpaid loans from banks and 800 mln from private lenders. The company’s CEO and wife disappeared and were later arrested on suspicion of fraud and illegal fund raising.

* Oriental Century – the chairman of Oriental Century, a 29.9 per cent associate company of Raffles Education, confessed to the board that he had been falsifying financial performance as well as the company’s bank cash balances since its listing.

* FibreChem Tech - a high-profile S-chip with a ‘who’s who’ list of institutional shareholders, including Newsmith and JF Asset Management, reported “accounting irregularities”.

* Celestial NutriFoods - defaulted on convertible bonds worth $234.6 million.

* FerroChina – dropped a bombshell when it announced that it would default on loans and go bankrupt – just weeks after it announced strong quarterly earnings

* Guangzhao Industrial Forest Biotechnology – three independent directors walked out in March, complaining that they were unable to effectively discharge their duties. The stock had been suspended from trading since Sep 2008.

* Beauty China – founder and chairman Wong Hon Wai pledged his 39 per cent stake to secure credit facilities and later saw his stake cut to about 30 per cent in a series of forced sales. He also tried, but failed, to sell the remaining shares.

* Sino-Environment – chairman and chief executive Sun Jiangrong lost his entire 56% stake when his pledged shares were force-sold upon a loan default. His loss of control triggered an early redemption of $149 million in convertible bonds, which the group defaulted on.

Note: Both Beauty China and Sino-Environment were plunged into financial nonsense when banks demanded repayment on loans made to them, after ownership of both firms changed hands. These loans had been made on condition that there was no ownership change.

Which one is the worst and which one is the best?
