Do anyone think that is it worth to wait until XR

If i hold till XR, i will entitled to 9 nil-paid rights with every 10 shares. right?

Can i sell my mother shares but i dun intend to sell my nil-paid rights. can?

1)For those who bought Kepland share before Cum Div, they are entitled to 8cents divident per share? CORRECT

However, if the person hold till XR, he is entitled to 9 nil-paid rights with every 10 shares. But if he opt for nil-paid rights, he will not be eligible for the 8 cents divident. WRONG, since ex-div date is 28 April, already past, this person already get his dividend, nothing to do with Rights

2)If he sell his Kepland share now under CR, he is eligible for the divident? Yes, ex-div was 28 April

3)If he hold till XR, he can get 9 nil-paid rights for every 10 shares.CORRECT

He can sell the nil-paid rights on the rights trading day and gain some pocket money while still holding the mother shares? YES

4) Can he buy rights from the market when rights trading and excercise later to convert to mother share by paying $1.09 per rights? CAN

by the way , for those bought them at $1.76( 1st day of CR announcement) and ready to sell them at XR date ( not intention to keep mother shares) assuming XR price is $2.76 , you got your self 900 shares FREE for every 1000 shares. ( dont need to pay and yet got all the rights shares!!)

Well done to those who did that !!!!  I only got them at 1.96 and 2.41 .. but i am very happy cos in the long run ,  the return is 400% more :)

if you have sold the stock  when you previously owned them, the CR will entitled to the one who bought them from you at a higher price. so that person will have the chance to purchase the right shares ( dont worry letter will be given to those entitled to the rights) .

You gain some money by selling them fast. if you wait until XR date, the price of kepland will drop for sure and  then you may feel sad.

Erm ... you may want to know how to apply the right before you commit to it ya.. I believe there is already a kepland thread on right issue. go read them ya ..

Remember if you make mistakes in this market , it is YOUR responsiblilty , SGX and your brokerage house will not bear for you... haha i learnt my lesson already. if got problem , ask your TR loh ....

haha:)

CR last day?  So, i sold this stock and i am not entitled to cum rigts to buy at 1.09?  I rather sold them than keeping them just for the cum rights entitlement.  Anyway, i didnt pay attention to CR cos too engross with share price movement.

Hi,

Can someone enlighten me. I noticed there is this 'cum rights' for this stock. What is actually cum rights for? Does it going to affect one who buy this counter?

Been monitoring this counter, quite frustrating that I've missed out the good price when it is below $2. I find that it's too high to get in now, scare of burning my hand.

Do correct me if I'm wrong. I noticed the penny stocks phenomenon again.

hey!  Quite close to the target you mention 2.6!!!Smiley

matthewsoh      ( Date: 07-May-2009 14:17) Posted:

possible if today can hit 2.6 tomorrow will around 2.8 to 2.9 if us market is ok . Monday will the highest like maybe 3.3. The price at XR i hope is around 2.5 if it is 3.3. this is my gut feeling. not chart ... just based on market feeling.

keppel has a new chairman who was an ex-minister, Dr Lee. He could be placed in this position with a better and powerful reason. He is always a low profile yet very effective and effiicent politician ( if you compare him with the ex transport minister, where is he now ?). Probably they need a "guan" to do business better in country that perceive "guan xi" as the most important element in business. I am quite sure keppel will get many project in the long run. they have the expertise and favour to create new era of business

Ok, Tks for your opinion.  I also think that if i buy now at 1.66 just to enjoy same lots of $1.09(right shares),  if price go down further, i will not be able to sell later on.

teeth53      ( Date: 28-Apr-2009 20:14) Posted:

Only my personnal opinion. NOT WORTH buying $1.50, cheaper to buy from open mkt.

3000 x (9/10) =3000 x 0.9 = 2700 (right share i entitled)

Total share i will own 3000(exixting share) + 2700 (right share) = 5700

After averaging, the selling cost of my 5700 shares is at least (add brokerage etc) S$1.50
