Queues caused by dial-a-cab service

THE culprit behind the interminable queues for a cab is the dial-a-cab service ('Waiting woes at Orchard taxi stands'; Thursday). Abolish the booking service and raise the flag-down fare to give taxi drivers an incentive to pick up passengers at the stands.

Many cabbies prefer the more lucrative and convenient booking system. They know that long queues work in their favour because it forces frustrated commuters to book a cab and pay more.

Recently, I was stuck in a queue at the Wisma Atria stand on a Friday night. Cabs were streaming in with 'On call' signs and dropping off fares. When I tried to board one, the cabby refused my fare. He drove to a spot opposite the taxi stand and waited. A few minutes later, the booking call on his cab sign came on, and he drove off.

A Bullish Morning DOJI Star pattern is a 3-candlesticks formation. The 3rd candlestick from the right must be a long black/red candlestick. But in this Genting HK's case, it was a Bullish Harami.

Guanyu San,

I am still learning to read chart, it is good that you have explain about the homing pigeon and the difference of morning stars (white, doji and black). I am right about the homing pigeon that was formed on wednesday.

As for the morning star, I think I should call it a morning black star. Even though the candle on wednesday is not a full candle with head and tail with equal height and thursday candle closed below wednesday with a tail and friday we have a full white candle opening at the closing price of thursday. The height of Wednesday and Friday candle are the same.

Guanyu san, need your comment of my explanation on the morning black star. I based on that explanation to write my comment on my Genting Manila chart on Friday in this thread.

Please correct me if I am wrong, no hard feeling I am still learning. Looking at your explanation with illustration picture and chart. You're an expert on chart reading.

We can clearly see that Wednesday close give us a bullish harami, or in this case Homing pigeon will be more suitable, it should be a reversal. but the reversal call is not convincing enough (Weds candle closed not up on the Tues candle), it caused a testing to the support again on Thurs (small black candle).

On Friday, that's a clear reversal and we can smell the bull.

Maybe what bro luzhen saying was a reformed Morning star (if you ignore the Thurs candle).

Genting Manila, on Wednesday the chart formed a Homing Pigeon and today it formed a Morning White Star, which is a confirmation of a bullish up trend. With Stochastic bouncing up from the lower end. Also broke out of the descending triangle. With all this bullish signals, monday should have a gap up, if it should break 475 us cents than the next resistance is 495. Immediate support at 44 us cents and stronger support at 425 us cents.
