Stocks: GDP, jobs disappoint - U.S. stocks point to a higher open as investors wade through jobs and GDP reports ahead of the opening bell. MoreNEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Investors in Europe welcomed slightly upbeat economic news Thursday, driving stocks in the region higher. Germany's unemployment rate fell to 6.7% and retail sales in the country were better than expected in May. The United Kingdom saw a surprising rise in home prices and Switzerland reported an acceleration in economic growth in the 1st quarter. All this +ve news came against a backdrop of fear about the region's debt crisis. Ireland is voting Thursday on the fiscal compact that most European Union leaders signed in March, but results aren't expected until Friday. Meanwhile, Spain is still grappling with a banking crisis and in Greece, the final public opinion polls are trickling in ahead of the next round of parliamentary elections on June 17. |

Time consuming and din go researching, perhap other may help (thks), got small float with a mkt cap of 51.38 million. The Company and PPSEZ have entered into a settlement agreement (“Settlement Agreement”) to resolve all ongoing disputes (“Disputes”) pertaining to the power plant project in the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (“Zone”). In accordance with the terms of the Settlement Agreement:- (i) PPSEZ shall withdraw the three arbitration proceedings initiated against the Company's subsidiaries, namely, Colben System Pte Ltd, Colben Energy Holdings (PPSEZ) Limited and Colben Energy (Cambodia) PPSEZ Limited (“CEZ”). (ii) PPSEZ shall also withdraw all court proceedings commenced against the Company and/or its affiliates whether in Cambodia or elsewhere and both PPSEZ and the Company agree that we will refrain from commencing any further proceeding against the other in respect of the Disputes. (iii) CEZ shall remain the exclusive supplier of all power requirements in the Zone for so long as CEZ continues operating in the Zone. In this regard, CEZ shall be supplying power directly to PPSEZ’s existing and future customers located in the Zone as well as for PPSEZ’s own consumption. (iv) In settlement of the amt due from PPSEZ under the Power Purchase Agreement dated 10 June 2008, PPSEZ shall transfer to CEZ free of any encumbrances all of the existing transmission and distribution lines, and related equipment which are owned by PPSEZ in the Zone as well as all such easements, licenses, construction contracts and any other agreements necessary to construct such transmission and distribution lines, sub-stations and all related equipment relating to the distribution of power to existing and future customers in the Zone and the corresponding land. The Board views entering into the Settlement Agreement as a positive (+ve) development which enables parties to move towards a long-term resolution.
teeth53 thot: Even though is not easy to operate in a familiar but volatile environment. Asiatic Grp is now in stronger position to grow, manage it power program in PPSEZ (Cambodia). Today traded / profiting is within range bound. Noted Trade Summary - Only 1lot@$1.540 cts done. Gen SP - Players got into play, still players will try again, very likely to test $1.550 cts for tomorro. (ten steps again??, not likely for tomorro trading day). Hope I'm wrong...Happi Trading.

Having mentioned volume Traders, they too also think, for EG only: When prices is +ve and news is flavourable, more will trade, so trade to them is always there, so long when there is news coming in....Of course they prefer good news rather then bad. Note: Been trading in big volume mean, they may get info early. |
